Correction, that spelling is Abe Fortas. Find out about his removal from the Supreme Court and compare that to the investigations on Thomas today. Neo-cons will not impeach him in the House despite the significant and sufficient evidence on Thomas's unethical behavior. This man is certainly no Thurgood Marshall; he is the antithesis of Justice Marshall. He should be impeached and it is a known fact. Probably because black americans by large are in a position where they are NOT free to live in any sort of way & thikn any sort of way. Black folks are disproporionately unemployed. Black folks have disportionate amounts of children out of wedlock. Black folks by virtue of being in the minority are often powerless to stop chemical & garbage waste facilities from being located near their homes.

Probably because black americans by large are in a position where they are NOT free to live in any sort of way & thikn any sort of way. Black folks are disproporionately unemployed. Black folks have disportionate amounts of children out of wedlock. Black folks by virtue of being in the minority are often powerless to stop chemical & garbage waste facilities from being located near their homes.

Yeah but unfortunately the reality is power IS with those who hold a clear majority. Even the deased U.S. Chief Justice of the Suprem Court William Rehnquist, an ardent CONSERVATIVE, have said just as much.
In fact many white male conservatives have historically enacted policies that were at odds with the freedoms of African Americans and have often used police state powers, i.e. "black codes" and "Jim Crow" laws to keep blacks in "their place", so to speak.
