Disney or Ghibli Studios should animate this piece of music. I can just see all of the ancient athletes in their carts and chariots and boats and on foot, and at 4:31 Mercury bursting through the clouds in a shaft of light, descending to deliver the summons.
Ah, I just love John Williams' music... and WELL DONE! to the Utah Symphony and the Mormon Tabernacle Choir. Splendid work.
I gave it four stars. A very stirring rendition, with very high production values, but having heard this version, I can now see how crucial it is to have JW as the conductor of his own works. Only he can get the the perfect poerformance of his own pieces.
That said, I still admire this performance very much. The choir still sound as bright as ever. THank you for performing a 'non-mainstream' JW piece! It's such a rare thing.
There is only one choir in the whole world that can perform this piece CORRECTLY!
