  • what is the song at the end called??????

  • what's the name of the song used after Gollum says.. " my precious"..? thanks!

  • THE HOBBIT TRAILER IS OUT AND IT LOOKS AMAZING!

  • one does not simply not watch this movie

  • @jfor323232 this is simply the best comment ever lol

  • Making a fantasy saga better than the "Lord of The Rings" is going to be harder than put the ring into mordor :)

  • I remember seeing this trailer for the first time in the theatres... everybody was absolutely blown away that LOTR had finally become a motion picture...

  • @rocketben2

U have a vivid imagination... unlike the writers of this movie

  • does anyone know the name of the soundtrack at 1:45 till the end???

  • The most beautiful and emotional movie I have seen, ans the landscapes are so beautiful. This movie is 10 years !

  • Who're the two women running through the words at 0.40 seconds in? I'm sure it's a clip taken from Hawk the Slayer...

  • This movie sucked

  • @Pinebushfootball ur mother too

  • Aragorn, to Boromir: 'Lonely men are we, Rangers of the north, hunters. But hunters ever of the servants of the Enemy, for they are found in many places, not in Mordor only. And this I will say to you Boromir, ere I end. When dark things come from the houseless hills, or creep from sunless woods, they fly from us. What peace would simple men have if the Dunedain were asleep, or all gone to the grave?

  • 'Are you frightened?' 'Yes' 'Not nearly frightened enough. I know what hunts you. You may be allowed to go forward today, but not for long. They will come on you in the wild, in some dark place where there is no help. Do you wish them to find you? They are terrible!' The hobbits looked at Aragorn, and saw with surprise that his face was drawn with anguish.

  • I'm excited to see the hobbit movie that tells the story of Bilbo find the ring bagins

  • Aragorn's line at 1:11 sounds better here than it does in the actual movie. I hate it when it turns out like that

  • i saw this trailer again and again... and when i saw it... it remembers me to be in cinema when i saw it first and fill like spiders going up to my body of the emotion i feel!!!

  • the Balrog is missing in the trailer

  • I am about to watch this for the first time ever. Yes, Im weird, I know. I also haven't seen any Star Wars films(dont ask. another story). I have always just been more interested in films that are more realistic. I guess I was never a sci fi fan, and as my brother lovely puts it, "jeez, you have no imagination!".well whatever. I was watching Willow (1988) again the other day, Ive loved it since it came out, and THATS kinda similar right? So imdb.com told me if i like Willow I should like LOTR

  • @nathantim If you have a soul you'll like LOTR.

  • @nathantim you'll just have to watch it then.

  • @nathantim you'll like it!

  • The Nine Nazguls disiliked the video!

  • someone knows the name of the song at 1:46 D:

  • this movie will never die. The trilogy will never die.

  • ten yeras ago i saw this very same trailer... I taped in my vhs and saw it a lot of times before of the release of the movie... a few years ago I was looking for this to watch it again but could find it... thanks for the upload... brings so many memories back

  • W00T they are making the hobbit!!!

  • I cannot wait till this comes out!!!!!! :D

  • Does anyone know the name of the last song played in this video? The one after the scene with Gollum

  • Now we all wait for Bilbo. Lets go PJ!

  • i watched this specific trailer so many times i was shocked when aragon says "we cannot wield it, none of us can." In a softer tone in the movie. It always bugged me haha.

  • 0:00 The beggining of epicnessssss.....

  • @Silverbullet89 the thing about Avatar is it's pretty good the first time u see it in a theater but then if u watch it again at ur house in the theater again, it sucks! but with LOTR, u can watch it 1000000000000000000000000 times and it never gets boring or tiring . in fact it gets better!!!! It is the BEST movie of all time!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • "featuring sean bean" wtf hes one of the main characters!

  • The last track in the trailer is: Power of One - Mother Africa Reprise (composed by Hans Zimmer)

  • @gorakaraz1 But that's not in the movie

  • @gorakaraz1

Thank you man!!! I have found since 2001!!!

  • This is the best movie/book series ever.

  • what"s song 1:44?

  • It's funny how these movies were so popular and won so much a appraisal and broke records with how many awards they won, and yet there are "fans" of the book who call them complete trash and act super snobby as if they're too good for the movies. Those so called fans, are disgusting. And to the guy trying to get people to sign a petition to stop the making of a hobbit movie, just dont watch it. That petition has been online since 2004 and only 3 people signed it lol.

  • What is the song beginning 1:02?

  • Narnia isn't too bad but Lord of the Rings is a beautiful series that can not be surpassed

  • FUCK HARRY POTTER!!! THE LORD OF THE RINGS RULES!!!!!!

  • whats the music at the end?? beautiful!!

  • it's called mother afica I think or somthing like that

  • Frodo reminds me of my cousin, Adam

  • Remembering the days the first time I read Hobbit. Than the LOTR trilogy. Than to live to see the movie, regardless how much it didn't tell, it was amazing.

The world owes J.R.R. Tolkien, big time.

  • @wookovar

If anybody hated that they would make a film version of The lord of the rings. Then please google this,

Don't Allow "The Hobbit" to become a major motion picture

    and sign the petition.

  • @madmax91919 I won't do no such thing. I'm more than aware that movies don't follow the book 100%. It may not do justice to the book, but neither does not making the movie.

  • @wookovar Wait so this doesn't follow the book? Cause I'm reading it and I've never seen the movies, but I want to once I've finished the fellowship of the ring.

  • @00ammy00 they do follow the books in a movie fashion. pretty much they follow all the big important things but not small details. eg no Tom Bombadil

  • @wookovar Ur so right, m8.I don't care what other people say.i LOVE the movies!!!!! I've watched them a million times and i still can't stop watching them.I'm a die hard fan. I read the books when i was 6 and i've read them every year since (I'm 16). Did you know that 72% of lord of the rings book fans atleast approve of the films.they might not be religiously accurate, but they are WAY more faithful to the books than any other movie version of a book i've ever seen!

  • I saw this movie yesterday with my friends, and one of the girls (who didnt understand anything) was like VAD ÄR DET FÖR JÄVLA BRINNANDE FITTA??? (What the hell is that buring pussy???) about Sauron. I laughted so hard xD

  • When I first saw this trailer as a kid I thought that it was some horror movie and didn't want to watch it seriously. It kind of looks like that doesn't it with all the monsters and all. But my brothers like no it's not a horror film I read the books.

  • Does someone knows what music is the one playing at 1:44? Is it the Nielsen one, or the Broz one?

  • Was skeptical at first when I saw this trailer, but I hold true and forever will...This is my absolute favorite movie of all time, all the them.

  • the film is cool but beter is to read the book of the lord of the rings

  • @adamospower

I know what you mean. I couldnt get through the second film.

If anybody hated that they would make a film version of The lord of the rings. Then please google this,

Don't Allow "The Hobbit" to become a major motion picture

    and sign the petition.

  • The movies were amazing and I think the fellowship was the best; but I don't know about best trilogy ever, respect the Wars.

  • The Two Towers in my opinion, is the best movie ever. Fuck Avatar

LOTR in general, is the best movie trilogy ever

  • Avatar can suck my balls,

this (and the other two of the trilogy) is the best movie soo much!

  • it is the best ever made fantasy movie of the history..............

  • as I dont saw the movie and I watch the trailer iI think thats a boring movie thats just sucks but the movie is 100% better than the trailer

  • The most epic trilogy ever made!

  • someone know the name of the song 1:45 and where ia can get it???

  • Comment removed

  • @eveylotr0910 I think it's called "Mother Africa (reprise) by hans zimmer"

  • this trailer does not do this justice. its so much better

  • i adore that movie,all 3 of them

  • I have watched this and the other two Lord of the Rings movie so many times. Each time I watched all three movies, the more I enjoyed it. I remember this trailer back when I was in elementary school. All 3 Lord of the Rings movies are fantastic. I just wish there was a sequel to the Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King.

  • There were like four trailers for this film, and this is the one I've been looking for (it truly was the first), and the one that got me the most psyched...I hate to be the wet blanket here, but I was extremely disappointed with these movies. LOVE the books. When will they undertake The Silmarillion?

  • I am searching for the song of the beginning 0:10 and from the middle of the vid 1:21 XD

  • I remember seeing this trailer years ago, most powerful trailer I have ever seen, especially that ending music and just all the visuals, man I never looked more forward to a movie and LOTR delivered and than some! amazing times in the theater

  • If you rent these dvds, get the extended version...they're SO much better than the theatrical ones. I've been on a LOTR kick lately and have been rewatching my extended dvds repeatedly and I keep seeing new things I didn't see before. If you buy them, you'll get the added fun of watching the movie while listening to the various commentaries...cool stuff. Also the bonus "making of" dvds in the set are awesome.

  • I haven't seen these fully yet. Just finished the books for the first time. I get to watch the movies tomorrow! Love the fact they were filmed in NZ. :)

  • One of the last best movies ever!

  • i'm so nostalgic .... i miss this period so much !!! there is no movie that made me dream like this one....

  • @GodzzBeloved

will be one more dream-period in Dec 2011 and Dec 2012 "The Hobbit, or there and back again" two-part film x)

  • I know!

  • @GodzzBeloved oh man I feel you best story ever

  • @GodzzBeloved True !! the lord of the ring trilogie are the best !

  • @GodzzBeloved Yes, you can't imagine how much I agree with you!

  • I miss getting out of school for Christmas break and the first thing we did all 3 years was go to the midnight showing of LOTR. I watch them ever December now, its become a part of me now,my tradition, my passion, my own, my...........precious! :p

  • @newm123 that is also witth me

  • @GodzzBeloved um Harry Potter

  • Song beginning at 1:46 is "Mother Africa (Reprise)" by Han Zimmer from the film The Power of One. :)

  • OMFG TY SOO MUCH

  • i know man it was incredible

the best films ever made, it just opened your mind you really fell in love with the story

  • I wish I had never seen any of the three yet and I could watch them again in theaters! Every year was just so exciting when the next part was released!!

  • Yeah! I miss the suspense. I was only ten (I think) when the first came out, and Lord of the Rings is my ultimate favourite series. It was like waiting for Christmas, my birthday and a school trip all at the same time! :D

  • @Manjixx Yes, that very first moment you walked into that cinema, god knows what you were expecting and what you got in its stead. I true masterpiece; I want to be blown away again!

  • Total Masterpiece

    Enough said :)

  • Troppo Bello!!!

  • what's the song at the end of it?

  • it's just too genius! We are very lucky to be able to watch this movie

  • Does anyone know the name of the song towards the end of the trailer? Its starts playing after Gollum says 'my precious'. Thank you!!

  • i watched this film 200 times

  • i doubt there will ever be a movie like this in our lifetimes. flawless

  • you dont have any idea the importance of tolkien in the world.

  • lotr is way more epic than shitty jurassic park you prick

  • more epic??? You must be a big kid if you say that

  • you must be a big kid if your still watching jurassic park.lol.

  • ok - live with your fairy tale LOTR

  • just so u know jurassic park isnt real

  • You're comparing a story stemming from classic literature to The Terminator, Aliens and Jurassic Park? Really?! I very much believe that you're at least below the age of 13.

  • are you a LOTR fan? if you are go to my channel i am doing them all :D

  • who is the eye>> :S he is saruman or or?

  • the eye is sauron

  • One of the best movies EVER!

  • Epic movie

I'm pretty sure I'm going to have to watch all of them again.

  • I love this film. I watched it like 31 times.

  • to think that they asked Sean Connery to be Gandalf and he declined.. wonder what it would have been had he said yes. either way Ian McKellen was an awesome Gandalf :D

  • The start of the ultimate epic - Sadly, I'm not sure we'll ever see its like again.

  • tears comes from my eyes everytime i watch this trailer`

  • of the three movies of the lord of the rings, this was the best.

    the book is amazing

  • @bonthan "F*ck Narnia"? How can you say that word? If you didn't know... J.R.R Tolkien and C.S Lewis were friends!

  • fucking epic

  • this was the only movie of its kind now everyone tries to copy it

  • I agree with you mate

  • i know what u mean... if i saw a trailer like this now i would just think it is something rubbish trying to make out its cool... but the fellowship of the ring genuinley deserved this trailer

  • I think these movies are some of the only things that can be truly called epic.

  • totally agreed man !

  • I remember watching this trailer in the cinema not long after I finished the books; I'd had no idea they were making the films, and when the voiceover started and mentioned the One Ring I was so excited! None of my friends understood why - they'd never heard of LOTR for the most part - but I've never been so impatient for a film either before or since.

  • I was like 13 when this came out, and I'd just read the books too, and when I saw this preview I was like, "HOOOOHHHHHH!!!!!!!"

  • best trailer ever

  • I've got all three movies on special edition...I actually watched them all one after the other not long ago.

They're just so addictive. Simply the best movie ever made :)

  • hehe, i've kept track of the amounts of times i've watched all the special extended movies, i've watched each one over 20 times each now. thats about 3 straight days non stop.

  • i remember watching this movie with my cousin when i was seven and the image of gollum cackling over his ring gave me the creeps. now i regreted not watching it in the cinema.T T

  • Oh god....these were definitely movies that need to be watched in a theater. The pure epicness of them can't be fully realized without the massive screen.

I'm sure they'll re-release them to theaters for their 25th anniversary or something.

  • They're doing a special showing in NYC on the tenth, with a live orchestra playing the sondtrack. you should check it out.

  • and sound....

  • read the books! and watched the movies!! but for some reason, i feel as though this trailer counts a different story....whatever! it was the first trailer and it was EPIC!

  • I remember when i was little, every time i come home i watched this movie.

In one week i had maybe seen it 6 times!:P

  • that is a great movie! i watched it yesterday.

  • and how is this film and amimation?

    still a good video

  • I remember watching this trailer once a day for months. Ahh, the memories.

  • i remember watching it dozens of times every day for months. lol

  • Does anyone know the song from 1:47 - 2:02?

  • It's part of Hans Zimmer's score to the 1992 film, "The Power of One." I believe the exact track is "Mother Africa (Reprise)".

  • Best Trilogy ever!

  • 1:47- 2:02. EPIC

  • does anyone know the name of this music?

  • ahh cant they make more movies like this?! :(

  • © 2008 YouTube, LLC

  • ahhh the trilogy is incredible.

it makes me cry my guts out.

even the behind the scenes makes me cry.

all the hard work!!!!! sheesh its overwhelming!!!!!!!!!

  • I just go to say that LOTR is and will always stay the best Fantasy movie ever! The movie and the books are awesome! I also like to play LOTR tabletop!

All in all LOTR KICKS ASS!

    (=

  • amazing movie. i love it.

  • God this was epic. By far the best Lod of the Rings movie. Best fantasy movie EVER

  • what is the name of the soundtrack played near the end part? I've been looking for that everywhere...

  • It's from the Power of One by Hans Zimmer. It's called The Rainmaker :)

  • Right movie, wrong song, it's called "Mother Africa (Reprise)"

  • The Trilogy is awesome, but "Fellowship of the Rings" is my all-time favorite movie. Two Thumbs Up!!

  • RETURN OF THE KING!!!! Fellowship of the Ring is my second favourite, and The Two Towers was also great!!!

Lord of the Rings > Harry Potter

  • agreed. The harry potter books are Excellent but the the movies were very Upsetting indeed.

  • Lord of the Rings < Harry Potter :D Thats my opinion anyways. Guess dfew HP fans are searching for LOTR trailers.

  • agreed but there are infact many harry potter fans not just a few

  • Luv you too ^^

  • The trilogy is totally awesome. I just wish they didn't cut so much from the book when making The return of the king.

  • The Two Towers missed alot from the book. And the whole Shelob scene which was in The Two Towers book was in Return of the King movie.

  • Well, in an article of entertainment weekly I real like 6 years ago, they said the moved that whole sequence with shelob from The Two Towers to Return Of The King to make ROTK longer. If they hadn't cut so much from ROTK, they wouldn't have needed to add stuff from TTT to make it longer.

  • Ooooooooh! Now that's excitingly captivating! The music is beautiful.

  • I remember sitting there and when the trailer came on the tv my jaw dropped. My friends and I talked for years about someone making a live action lotr movie. I remember shaking through the whole movie when I saw it in the theater. Unforgettable.

  • I agree. some of my most memorable movie experiences are from the lord of the rings trilogy

  • and thus the epicness began, great trilogy

  • I love the music that goes with these. BEST MOVIE EVER PERIOD.

  • great movie
