And not by comparison to today's games, just in general. People like to go on about how old games were tough, but that's because most of them were poorly designed. Shit that got a pass back when we were too young to know better is the same thing that gets games slammed today, and rightfully so.

there's no killer instinct 3, there's only KI (SNES), KI2 (arcade) and KI Gold (which is the same thing as 2, just ported to the N64 with some added features). but I have indeed heard talks that the guy who did the KI series is still interested in the series. so hopefully something materializes from that.
