This move is hard to take a strong opponent down with. I prefer to lock the arm and then sweep the leg while still holding the arm and transitioning to arm bar.
@RuggedHawaiian Why not? It was used in war...hence martial applies. Don't say that it isn't a martial art because it is a hybrid of many arts, because virtually all martial arts are hybrids and forms of the same arts :)
@Drakkoner These days, Ninjutsu commonly refers to the taijutsu taught in ninjutsu. Taijutsu simply means "bare-fist techniques" (rough translation), i.e. techniques performed without weapons. Taijutsu is a far too general term, since there is a range of taijutsu across japanese martial arts (e.g. Jiu-Jitsu is derived from the Taijutsu commonly practiced by the Samurai). As such, if you were to call it Taijutsu, it would not be descriptive enough.
these days, ninjutsu is commonly misappropriated by fraudsters that hope you are so ignorant as to not realize that ninjutsu has never historically refered to a martial art...
tai = body
jutsu= technique
taijutsu= body technique
the only person claiming this taijutsu nonsense is the various students of the takamatsu-den arts.... a school that has never even proven their claimed link to shinobi... weird huh??
@Arteanor There are indeed a lot of frauds, one actually posts on youtube claiming to teach "nintaijutsu", and he talks about ninja from Korea 0_o (his name is chosonninja btw). As far as historical records go, apparently the last ninja was Toshitsugu Takamatsu, who's only known student was Masaaki Hatsumi. Seeing as how the term Ninjutsu is meant to referred to unseen techniques, Toshitsugu seems to have known a combination of feudal era, family-brewed war arts (Ninja is a very broad term).
"As far as historical records go, apparently the last ninja was Toshitsugu Takamatsu" there is no 'historical record' that corroborates the stories of takamatsu. his claims are based entirely on his own word, and now hatsumi.
neither have ever done more than simply CLAIMED to teach/know ninjutsu... even though it has NOTHING to do with what we KNOW ninjutsu is ( based on the historical manuals).
@ruedjgtc I've got a physics exam in a couple of days and before i decided to take a break from revision and come here on youtube i was practicing questions on Kinetic Energy= 1/2 mv^2 :L
Is it just me, or does Adam Jensen from Deus Ex: Human Revolution use a lot of ninjutsu moves?

"Toshitsugu seems to have known a combination of feudal era, family-brewed war arts (Ninja is a very broad term"
first, it is incredibly rude to refer to an elderly man by his first name, i doubt you are on first name basis with him...
ninja is NOT a broad term.
the people who want to create this umbrella term are doing so in an attempt to disperse their lack of credibility over a dozen topics
takamatsu also told the BRDJT that he had no densho, but hatsumi says he has them.

physics, for example 1/2mv^2 is just the formula for kinetic energy.

@ruedjgtc here you got some physics,
why don't you trow a rock of 85kg on his head from a height of 20m this will cause a lot of force: Ez= m g h -> Ez= 85 * 9.81 * 20 = PAIN!
