    returned to the moment after it was recorded. It seems to be

    written mainly as a guitar and tempo exercise. The fact it has

    been written in the third-person probably indicates Lennon

    intended it for his planned musical "The Ballad Of John And Yoko".

  • I was always under the impression that Free as a Bird did not have a middle eight and that the surviving Beatles wrote it. When in fact they just finished the lyrics. This clears things up. Thanks!

  • thats exactly what i thought too, until now!! although paul did add a few impressive lyrics to it. 'where did we lose the touch that seemed to mean so much always makes me feel so free...' thats a good line.
