I found the question as a waste of time to Ron Paul. Yes he could have answered simply and quickly,but i guess the over reaction was from frustration. It seems to me that the media was trying to paint Dr. Paul as uncaring about his voter base. Dr. Paul didn't want to get dragged into that hellhole. I think he made the right choice by getting out of that situation.

There is such a huge effort to suppress the Ron Paul campaign, so their camp may get frustrated at times (they are human) - if you watched the earlier part of the interview, she sets-up the interview by saying that he's popularity is declining...ignoring recent polls that say the opposite. Ron Paul's camp are fed up the deliberate effort to dismiss their important message.

I found the question as a waste of time to Ron Paul. Yes he could have answered simply and quickly,but i guess the over reaction was from frustration. Does the media go to every celebrity, politician etc over why they didn't shake a persons hand or sign their name on something for a fan, no. I don't think this was fair and one needs to look at the broad picture. Ron Paul supporters have the feeling that they are misrepresented by the media, and Cenk seems to agree on that at the end of this video, and I do to. I think that here Paul and his "aids" or whatever believed they were being once again set up for a cheap shot by a media. They were probably being overly paranoid, they probably could have kept their cool, sure, but I think they have a genuine pressure and rightful distrust.

@Menchosaurus They've gone from Public Access, to Sirius Satellite Radio, and now have the largest independent online news show. MSNBC was just a quick stint for a couple months, and the Current show has only been on for two months. So the idea that TYT is going nowhere fast is just crazy.

I didn't like it when Sarah Palin got upset when asked about what magazines she reads and I'm not going to like it when Ron Paul does it just because I want him to get elected. Besides taking the higher ground would probably make him more appealing and earn him more votes.

This is clearly part of a larger pattern of bias. If Paul answered every one of their ridiculous questions, he would himself look ridiculous and that is their intention. The question is why in every interview the reporter should spend half of the time asking these questions:
1- Are you electable?
2- Would you run as a third party?
3- Would you endorse the republican nominee unconditionally?
to imply that there is no way he can be the republican nominee, & the second half of the time the questions that are tailored to discredit him in another way, while there are more serious questions which should be asked, as they ask Romney and Newt, Like foreign policy & jobs

I agree that their reaction was excessive, but put things into context. Ron Paul is consistently mistreated by the press. There is such a huge effort to suppress the Ron Paul campaign, so their camp may get frustrated at times (they are human) - if you watched the earlier part of the interview, she sets-up the interview by saying that he's popularity is declining...ignoring recent polls that say the opposite. Ron Paul's camp are fed up the deliberate effort to dismiss their important message.

I agree the reaction was aggressive as well, but Cenk implies there's no 'basis for his anger' other than "the MSM hates me". There's more to it than that, and Dana Bash is not a respectable reporter in the least bit. She has shown again and again that she'll do anything to destroy Paul. She's even denying that she stated her 'fears' of Paul.

cmon cenk. This was an emotionally provocative question meant to evoke an emotional response rather than understand his political views, the answer is pretty irrelevant. Any self respecting journalist could understand this, which I guess you're not cenk. A question with a similar connotation would have been, "How do you feel about appeasing even the most menial of expectations, such as hand shaking, in order to garner votes from voters who vote for candidates because they looks presidential?"

@BoDiggety I don't think that's true. I think Cenk DOES like Ron Paul. He doesn't always agree with him, but he does agree with him on a few things, and in no way hates him. That being said, he isn't afraid to point out the things he doesn't like about Ron Paul and will criticize him when he sees an issue. Now, you may disagree on his rulings/criticisms, but in no way does Cenk hate him. Or at least, that's what I've observed by watching various videos.
