The battery is built-in, but it is a Lithium Polymer battery, so it will last a long time. You ship the unit to us, and it is only $99 for the labor and battery. Pricing could change, but that is the current price. It is likely the battery will last 2 or 3 years before it needs replacement, so this is not something that happens often.
My only concern with this device is the "built in" battery. This is a quite expensive device. If the battery suddenly loses battery capacity - I lose the ability to charge the battery, and have to pay for replacement unit - or send in for battery replacement (which would likely cost quite a bit).
I checked your website and the UK vendors don't seem to have this listed...
