I think the lack of professional questions is due to the interviewers unexpected feelings he may be having toward Antoine. The tone of his voice sounds like he is somewhat being infatuated with Antoine. Antoine looks feminine and has the nails, but all the interviews of him and his honest impression of himself makes me believe he is a metrosexual; a term he probably never heard of in the hood. Glad his fame has been able to give a somewhat better life for his family.

I think the interviewer was unprepared for the charismatic away that Antoine presented himself during the interview. He probably was relying on Antoine to carry the interview by "acting ghetto" . @bigsinister781 he is a professional first of all, and everyone has a bad day. But he has to take credit for the bad and the good. Second of all, they used his voice in the song. If it were not for the nuances, velocity of pitch, timbre, and volume that he provided, the song would not of had existed. He spoke in a manner that was attention grabbing and naturally inspired someone with his voice, and according to views, millions. His character, life, and originality created that music also.

I don't think the interviewer prepared his questions ahead of time. It sounds like he was just ad libbing. He needs to take his job and guests more seriously. I've never heard an NPR interviewer sound so unprofessional, but Antoine carried him along, injecting a little humor to keep it interesting overall. He's passionate, colorful and sometimes he might say something that sounds funny, but this guy is intelligent and he's transforming a bad situation to spotlight a very serious issue.
