I really will never like stop motion that looks rigid as this. I do like the idea of an animated opera, as well as the music. I can hope there will be a less rigid animated opera more like I would like in the future.
i love the creepy animation and even the song. but no it can be the first animated oprera. i dont a lot about theatre but didnt tom and jerry do and oprea one? and that was like 10-20 years ago... or am i way off base?
Not really. What we mean is that "Love and War" is (as far as we know) the world´s first opera written for an animation. There are many animated versions of existing operas originally written for the stage. "Dick Deadeye" is unfortunately not even one of them - it´s a musical based on material from
I wouldn't get too concerned about whether your's is the first anything. Most people don't care. Just make sure your film is as good as it can be - it'll be judged on it's own merits anyhow.

Very interesting project. But not the first animated opera by a long shot. That was "Dick Deadeye" - 32 years ago.
