Hey, I stumbled upon your video by chance. My last name is Pluff (rhymes with stuff) originally pronounced "Ploof" though. Is your name French-Canadian? I also live in New England (CT). WOAH
I have my first appointment in a couple days. I really want to open up my mind, and see where I can go internally. I know people like to smoke pot before hand to really set your mind into another world. Have you, or would you recommend it? I was thinking I would try it completely sober the first time and then maybe trying with marijuana another time.
@KylePloof Sounds like the most logical thing to do, thanks for the quick response! If I do decide to smoke before one of my sessions I will be sure to document the experience in comparison.
@SirchBDS No, because even in a pitch black room you know what way is up and down. You still have your senses about you. The deprivation tank takes all that away. And I keep my eyes open...it's just as dark as if they're closed
Hey man, quick question(kind of two). What's the longest you've spent in a float tank, and did you ever notice if it messed with(good or bad) your sleep for that night or maybe even a few days? I have an appointment tomorrow for my first experience and I was curious if it will or not.
next time create with your imagination, in front of you: from geometric figures, to people an places, change their shape move interact with theme. i did dis in bath room in 15 min i start seeing weak light waves after i see faces and after i start creatig geometric figures changing their color was very interesting. Good luck and stay 2 or more hours.
@KylePloof Wow, I think I really hit a sensitive spot here, I'm sorry dude I didn't know it would affect you that much, you really took your time to see what you could throw back at me, lol! ...Oh no! I don't have more than 400 views! haha, sure. I'm not vlogging 15 min vids am I? But you keep going man! maybe one day you will have millions of views and be a youtube superstar like Justin Bieber! or maybe one day you will be funny!
The only thing this video has to do with Joe Rogan is that everybody in the comments made it about Joe Rogan. @KylePloof please change the name of this video to "Joe Rogan's Deprivation (Float Tank) Experience" because according to everyone watching it, that's all they heard.
@LonelyNatives how was this just 3 weeks ago, I feel like if it was months ago... almost, Anyway, nah man, this guy is obviously emulating John Rogan (and that is actually a good thing!). Comedy, brain food, sd tank, etc, plues his gestures and words and stuff... Now did I say it like a dick because I was having a bad day, I honestly cant remember... I hope you have a good day cause Im definately haing one myself! :)
@eduardoobregon Because I've been doing comedy for 7 years and have one video talking about a tank, that means I'm emulating Joe Rogan? Get a life, troll.
@eduardoobregon Your just watched list is full of Tony Robbins, Matchbox 20 and "How to know if a girl likes you"....who'da thunk you'd take to smack talking on youtube videos?
I have done ayahuasca twice about 2 months ago in Cusco Peru. Thats whole different animal once you get over throwing up and having the worst Diarrhea ever then its the most craziest ride you can imagine. With tons visuals and your whole body feels like Adrenaline rush that last 8 hrs. 1000times more than jumping out of airplane. More like when your on roller coaster when your taking big vertical drop thats the feeling you get.
whoops ran out space.trying to get yourself used to the environment. The second time I floated was prob the most amazing. Felt like i was in space flying through the galaxies of different stars and colors. Sometimes it feels like i am hanging upside down and slowly level my self out or feels like i am spinning in a circle. The second time at float lab my ego was so far detach from me when it was time to get out they called my name barley heard it sounded like I was million miles away
I also have used the float tank because of Joe Rogan. The best place to float I have found is floatlab in Venice beach Ca its 40 bucks for 2 hrs sometimes the owner Crash doesn't have any other app so he lets you stay almost 3 hrs for no extra money. His tanks are huge. I live in Corpus Christi Tx and the nearest tank is 3 hours Houston which they are European style tank which are a lot smaller I think I paid 80 1.5 hr i recommend 1.5 hrs or more for the first time due to losing 30 min or so tr
I just had my first floatation tank experience 2 days ago. I went to a place in NYC called Blue Light Floatation. An hour costed $80. I was really relaxed and was still pretty much the whole hour, but I didn't experience anything deep. It was extremely relaxing though. It was expensive and it went by super fast, but I'm looking forward to doing it again anyway. I just wonder what kept me from experience anything deep because I was as relaxed and as still as possible.
Kyle, if you're looking for a way to enhance your cognition, read "Spark" by the Harvard psychiatrist Dr. John Ratey.......Excellent, excellent book! Thanks for sharing.
Correction- Most intence way to go into what you just called "dream state" is by smoking vaporised DMT (what causes you to dream), or drinking ayahuaska. but yea, other then that..definitly an isolation tank is were its at.
@myenlightenment13 and people who have used DMT, ayahuaska, or have practiced meditation for a long time CAN go into a isolation tank and have that sort of profound life changing experience their first time...just saying. :) just gotta learn a lil more about the Pineal gland in your brain man. its where this whole journy comes from.
@KylePloof lol, thats ok. iv done dmt afew times. it is very intense! and very scary but if you respect it, and go into it looking to learn something (and not just trying to get fucked up) you will enjoy it, the good, the bad and the scary parts. :) its short, you dont remember much (unless you do ayauaska, and it last longer and you remember more) yet you leave that experence with a astonding amount of information...its difficult to describe.
there was this movie made years ago the one where the dude gets in the tank and turns into a monkey I was only about 12 then and been wanting to try it ever sense I think its about time to try the tank not to be a monkey but to be a better dude . thank for your story
@KylePloof Well I sure hope he says that then. One way to weed out the gene pool! God I cant believe people these days that follow anyone like sheep and not even question it. Thats how cults get started
@KylePloof Deprivation Tank?. I'm talking about Joe Rogan himself. Little advice. Get your facts before opening your mouth. Makes you look less like and idiot
@deltafour1212 Joe Rogan himself? This video has absolutely nothing to do with Joe Rogan, and has everything to do with my experience in a deprivation tank. Who's the non-fact-checking dummy, now? (You.)
@KylePloof Who said it had anything to do with your expereince in the deprivation tank?!
Little bit of adivce. Before spout off you better reread my post and reread it again before making non- fact checking statement. It makes you look ...well ,stupid or in your words a dummy! LOL
@KylePloof I am very disappointed. You said you appreciated my advice yet you didnt take it. Once a again you are wrong. You assumed I have a sad life without any facts to base it on
By doing that and making that statemnet it makes you look .....well ,stupid!
just did it, you are spot on. thanks, just reminder the salt got into my eyes a few times. did not reach any kind of nirvana but did feel great afterwards, and yeah did kind of freak out the first 10 minutes,
Really good video man, Was looking for a more personal account of what goes down with the isolation tank and you explain it well. Have you been again since your first time? if so how did you find it?
@drummo86 Thanks! Yeah, I've been a few times since. 90 minutes sessions are definitely the way to go. Still goes by in the blink of an eye, but 90 allows for more time for relaxation...better results I've found.
What others said sounds like it could happen, like noises being loud or things brighter. Maybe your experience was just different. hell, that even happens in situations without an isolation tank.. (bright, idk about noises)
Man the only thing that bothered me i had to keep cracking my knees but got comfortable in 25min. I saw my vision expanding in a spiral formation it was amazing. I felt myself blinking felt like a lizard lool.
"You need Alpha Brain...SON" -Joe Rogan jk. Thanks for sharing, got first 90min session in Ridgewood, NJ in two days. Alittle nervous but looking forward to it more
Did it scare you when the lady knocked on the door? I would probably freak out if I was in complete silence for an hour and all of a sudden heard knocking on the door lol
I got interested in this stuff after using ear plugs for sleeping again. Never felt anything weird as I approach dream state in the past, but the other night was just wild. Like jokes from a standup comic were hurting my feet. I would try the flotation thing.
@GiaReznorXx claustrophobia is about being trapped and not in control - in the floatation environment you can get out any time you want - so no claustrophobia.
having watched yr video 1 time only, I would say that it is very honest and as you do more vids about yr continuing floats can help lots of people you reach

@beloveddude Yeah I understand. I had a very poor idea of what to expect and literally didn't have any conversation with the person showing me the tank. Just how to get in and out lol.
@beloveddude Not sure why you'd use singular quotes for inaccurate- also you didn't provide any examples of what you thought was wrong about what I said. Of course this is MY experience, which is why the name of the video is "My Sensory Deprivation Experience." And no, nobody told me about anything going in..which is exactly why I made this video. I felt like there was a lack of info & some of the videos people posted weren't honest. Thus I made my own completely honest vid about my 1st time.
Did you feel like u were gonna get lost when u started freaking cuz of the floating in like black space or air, and not find the door and thats why u switched positions? lol cuz im curious cuz i really want to do this some day when i have a ride and the money to go do it.You explained it a bit better then most other people, thx.
@GaryQ17 Thanks! I knew I wasn't going to get lost, but the feeling of not knowing which way is which really throws you off. I wanted to switch positions so I could get some light in whenever I wanted so I could have my wits about me. But that's counter-productive. The point is to not have any of that. Since I've gone back, I've done 90 minutes without turning the lights on or switching positions. It's one of the hardest things to get used to, but once you trust it-- it's amazing.
Another thing did u drive there / home alone cus I feel like that could be dangerous with a fragile mind never the less I'm in brockton so how was the drive from where u are.
@PBeezy23 Thanks man. Yeah I drive home right after I get showered up. Your mind isn't so much fragile as it is just refreshed. Like I said, you really don't notice it much the first time-- but the more you do it the more refreshing it is for sure
I have not been in an isolation tank for 25 years, but I can remember the experience vividly. Nobody that has posted a Youtube video has mentioned, what to me was the single most surprising part of the experience. Your sense of hearing becomes so heightened, that you can hear your eye lids crinkle as they open and close.
@Hyperchiller Over time with doing the tank and being able to meditate-- it gets you to concentrate and get into that state of mind quicker than usual. But nothing superhuman...yet. lol
Thanks for sharing. I've located a place near me in Charlotte, NC. I've watched Lukas a few months ago and that got me interested. It's great to see someone else talk about their experience. Thanks again for sharing!
@KylePloof Not yet. I'm going to try to in May. Besides your neck feeling better, what about your joints and muscles? Did you find you slept better? Thanks!
@chadtrutt Cool man. Physically, my neck, spine and muscles felt amazing that day. They've since gone back to tightening up a bit...but nowhere near as bad. And I sleep like a rock anyway-- so I haven't noticed much of a difference there. But I can definitely see where it could help ppl in that regard

beloveddude 7 months ago
that really sucks on float seller's part..foolish, really as it is better to have folks mellow and relaxed before entering
and info and sense of support and what Dr lilly called 'consensus reality' makes all the difference
and you release all that fear outside the tank b4 ever going in and go deeper into its benefits then
if you are floating @ her place, why not share yr experience w/ her suggesting pre-float orientation would have helped you
yr video might do that orientation for others
beloveddude 7 months ago
a proper pre-float orientation would have given you a better 1st float, without all the anxiety you mentioned..
amazes me float centers dont offer 1st timers time 2 discuss the pending experience, but just 'throw them into the water'..cold...
2 much uncertainty/unanswered concerns...
poor analogy: do you let someone jump out of airplane w/ parachute without pre-discussion?
please understand: I like yr video/honesty/tale of yr experience, that will help others + appreciate discussion w/ u

KylePloof 7 months ago
I found some of your comments 'inaccurate', and more of your personal opinion and pov...
did float center operator speak with you before your float? seems not???!!!
best to be clear [of fear anxiety sense of claustrophobia] with good orientation before yr float
overall tho I liked yr vid...it is YOUR experience which I would like you to clarify stronger...not necessarily the 'way' it would be for others
glad you like it and are promoting it to others

Did you feel like u were gonna get lost when u started freaking cuz of the floating in like black space or air, and not find the door and thats why u switched positions? lol cuz im curious cuz i really want to do this some day when i have a ride and the money to go do it.You explained it a bit better then most other people, thx.
GaryQ17 7 months ago

PBeezy23 7 months ago
@PBeezy23 Thanks man. Yeah I drive home right after I get showered up. Your mind isn't so much fragile as it is just refreshed. Like I said, you really don't notice it much the first time-- but the more you do it the more refreshing it is for sure

I have not been in an isolation tank for 25 years, but I can remember the experience vividly. Nobody that has posted a Youtube video has mentioned, what to me was the single most surprising part of the experience. Your sense of hearing becomes so heightened, that you can hear your eye lids crinkle as they open and close.
jrweiss29 9 months ago
@jrweiss29 That is true. I've noticed my breathing seeming way louder than it is. Were you wearing earplugs?
KylePloof 8 months ago
awesome mate. Has it helped you increase your concentration and psychic ability?
Hyperchiller 9 months ago
@Hyperchiller Over time with doing the tank and being able to meditate-- it gets you to concentrate and get into that state of mind quicker than usual. But nothing superhuman...yet. lol

the skill of getting to the deep state of mind and seeing ur life can be obtained by simply smoking bud before hand

Thanks for sharing. I've located a place near me in Charlotte, NC. I've watched Lukas a few months ago and that got me interested. It's great to see someone else talk about their experience. Thanks again for sharing!
chadtrutt 10 months ago
@chadtrutt Awesome! Did you try it out yet? And thanks for checking out the vid!
KylePloof 10 months ago
@KylePloof Not yet. I'm going to try to in May. Besides your neck feeling better, what about your joints and muscles? Did you find you slept better? Thanks!
chadtrutt 10 months ago
@chadtrutt Cool man. Physically, my neck, spine and muscles felt amazing that day. They've since gone back to tightening up a bit...but nowhere near as bad. And I sleep like a rock anyway-- so I haven't noticed much of a difference there. But I can definitely see where it could help ppl in that regard

Thanks for the plug and kind words. Glad to hear so many people are floating and what few words are being spoken on this are being heard.
