I saw the Australian performance in Perth then looked up the American Sound track and found it so dull. The Australian main cast (Jemma Rix/Lucy Durack) really give the character an incredibly unique persona which actually changes through the musical (reduction in the 'annoying squeal' which is the best bit about Lucy) :P Just a Australian mans opinion but i guess its something that needs to be experienced first hand :P

@DefyingGravityOz it's because, unless you've seen her live (I hope), you don't "get" her and merely hear annoying squeak... I found it's similar with Rachel Tucker in London. She's INCREDIBLE live, but in recordings, her standby, Nikki Davis-Jones, sounds better.

I just saw this in brisbane on the 22nd. I got shivers for the this entire show. Jemma pointed at me during defiying gravity. I this this may have influenced a career change. 18 isnt too young to start is it?

I saw wicked on 17/3/11 and Defying Gravity was absolutely the defining moment of the entire show!. I was sitting right on the edge of my seat and didn't want it to end. This woman is absolutely devine!
