Very wealthy people have lots of money primarily because the system is designed to alleviate them of their tax burden. It is not communism or socialism to realize that the infrastructure of the United States is falling apart and many necessary civic functions are being financially strangled because the majority of the nation's wealth is being horded and outsourced. A deregulated "Free Market" does not work. Your middle class is disintegrating and their jobs are being removed. You must give back.

Why do Republicans keep bringing this up? The majority of people wanted the public option Obama initially brought forward. At least 65% according to every poll that was done on the issue. People wanted what the Dems were offering and the Republicans kept saying no until it got so watered down that most people disagree with it. How is this an example of Republicans representing the will of the people? Sounds more like Republicans repressing the will of the people.

This will increase competition and types of coverage offered and lower prices.
