How sad.. don't you know that Nichiren Daishonin said in his writing named "Shingon Kenmon" that slander the true Buddhism is to go against the priesthood and the Law. By the way, Shingon Kenmon is one of the Gosho which was still set forth in SGI Gosho.

@drlatonyalonnise SGI is the way u need to roll! Nichiren Shoshu is not the true teaching of Buddhism. i will give u a big hint when it comes to chosing the right route:if it involves priests, is it INCORRECT lol The Nichiren Shoshu Priesthood goes against the true essence of Buddhism. It teaches that you need a middle man to achieve enlightenment when that is not true at all. i hope that helped;)

I discovered with boudhism that bad karma is in the 8th level of awarness (boudha is the 9th ok ?) the 8th level is the part with the mental and the causes and effects that are registred there.So it was interesting for me to study once how the mental is working and discoverd the source of unwiseness and obscurity there:if it gives you falls data you do wrong so eliminate it to get free

It's been an ongoing flow in the other direction. The attitude of either side is - if one is not a member of their team then that person is to be frowned upon - regardless of whether they chant NMRK or not. Nichiren did not say anywhere that one needed to belong to a group to gain benefit from NMRK. This sort of attitude has been a terrible slander, not only to the people, but the Law itself - is it any wonder that the world is going downhill. Sadly members do this without realizing it's wrong

I'm asking with all due respect, because I only have six months practicing and there are some doubts I have. When I heard the word contribution in one of the gatherings I said into my mind "not here too!" even though I was told It wasn't mandatory to do so.

@vasco1983 Well until now that has been a big problem yes. But there are Gohonzon's on line that you can use. Some may say that it is wrong to do so - I do not know if it is or it isn't in regard to the LAW - I don't think it is any worse than organisations claiming to represent NMRK forcing people to join them in order to receive a Gohonzon. Buddha left Gohonzon for ALL to inherit. He did not state anywhere that one needed to belong to an organisation.

@vasco1983 Everything depends on the sincerity of one's faith in the LAW Nam myoho renge kyo. Since the Law is all embracing, is everywhere & has no limitations, then it is a slander for anyone or any organisation to say that it will not work outside of the organisation. Simply facing east (in harmony with the turning of the Earth) and chanting NMRK - even if it is the trees in the distance or a clear wall space) sincerely will bring one good effects. Never doubt the power of NMRK & you will see

I have chanted for almost 40 years now, and believe me, I literally owe my life to Nam myoho renge kyo.

I was introduced to it in Japan while i was visiting there. From the end of WW2 up until 1991Japan prospered - health was tops - crime was little - and there were few disasters of any degree.

Since 91 (when the great dispute toodk place and NMRK was terribly slandered, first off the rank - the economy crumbled - Mr Causton died - Kobe was destroyed - crime and sickness went up etc - Why???

Please don't misunderstand - I'm not condemning SGI. But this sort of attitude towards SGI and its leaders - as well as many Nichiren Shoshu members towards the priests etc, is failing to produce ichinin (good fortune) to the point where there has been a terrible bad effect allowed to take place in Japan. If things are to change, it can only happen if we follow Nichirens instructions and put their faith in the Law and not in the person - organisation or anything else. please chant about this :o)

This is the correct way to practice Nichirens teaching - as he stated so many times in his Gosho, we need to put our faith in the law and not in the person.

You have expressed wonderful enthusiasm with this video, but you have let yourself and Nichiren down by not mentioning Nam myoho renge kyo once. You made it all about 'Buddhism' and SGI, when it is really all about the LAW. You held up your shirt at the beginning and from that point it was all about SGI.

I apologize but @10:05 it sounded like you were promoting infidelity, I suppose you meant it in regards to pre-marital sex. I've just recently (within the past two weeks) have been chanting and understanding Buddhism at the SGI center on Union Square in Manhattan and the more I learn about it, the more I support it. As a victim (and culprit) of infidelity in the past I just heard it wrong as it was part of the demons I had to face, sorry that I got ahead of myself.
