@thedude1325 Agree but we should have went into Baghdad in 1991 but the UN mandate only allowed the liberation of Kuwait, not ouster Saddam Hussein out of power. The worst part is that H.W. Bush promised the Iraqi rebels to help ouster Saddam but instead sat back. Y? SA refuse to do that because it would have put Shiites in charge in the Southeast. The Turks, Iranians, and Russia refuse to do it because it would have put Kurds in charge in the Northwest.

No, because if you would have done your homework you would know that we signed a armistice with Iraq stating if they broke the armistice we could start the war back up and when in 1998 Saddam broke the armistice congress past a law and Bill Clinton signed it changing the policy of containment to regime change.
