Hello, I am watching your videos as I'm a newbie and I want to buy a Jeep Wrangler Unlimited Rubicon with a diesel engine the CRD. Can you please take the time and tell me what are the most recommended upgrades if I want to use it for off-roading but also on a daily basis. I am asking this because I am not that familiar with the terms you use but I can give the list to the garage guys and they will do it. I appreciate it, THANKS.
Is a manual trans or auto trans better for general trail off roading? Or is just personal preference? I am not talking competition rock crawling , just mild rocks,mud,etc... Thanks
@4vermont It is normaly just personal preference but if you are not used to a manual or get into a tricky stop say on a incline where the Jeep will want to roll back an automatic is better.
Plenty of time to enjoy the views. Also depending on trail ride, you will have the chance to watch others going up obstacales. Also, there are places just to go and watch others climb, if you so choose.
Im about to do this with a stock 01 pathfinder... ive done the entire trail for fins n things and that was a bit of a rush at the beginning so im going to move to something a little easier
It's a great trail and fantastic country beyond it. We've been over it 3 times with our stock '86 Trooper and twice with our stock '94 4Runner. The Trooper was actually easier - less tail dragging. We stayed on the main trail - it was challenge enough. Went to confluence, three grabens, Chesler Park, Bobby's Hole and down to Bobby's Hole from Beef Basin. My favorite place on earth. Patience and finesse will get you a long ways.
Believe it or not, we do this every year with a nearly stock '89 SUBURBAN. Everyone always wonders how we fit it in. Hit the rear a few times real hard, but it's a GM, and American vehicle from the 80's, so it's good. Great video, brings back some good memories.
amazing! this video makes me realize a few things: i wish i lived out west(i live in Kentucky) and 2 i wish i had enough money to put into my jk. but right now just the payments alone are killing me.

i like to wheel in a manual because that's what i've always been wheeling. however, without a doubt, it is much easier to wheel in an automatic.

I'm going to the Jeep Safari next year (2010) and I was wondering if you can get out and look around or is it just keep moving...

im new at this, so do you guys perform all the stunts in 4LO ó 4HI ???
elintel 3 years ago
just about all the driving you see is done in 4LO. 4HI is better suited for faster applications like driving in the snow or fast across sand.

I love the Jk Unlimited.. but in my country (Portugal) it cost 65.000 Euros!! +/- 103.000 USD :(

REALLY?
Considering how shitty our economy is right now and how good UK's is I would think it would be cheaper.
