@kinutakoen89 , I noticed your tail lights, headlights, and the corner lights are aftermarket. How is the fitment? Are they aligned perfectly? Can water get in them or get fogged up with washed? I am restoring my 1999 S right now and can't find a decent aftermarket headlights and tail light. Bought some, they look nice from far away but when come close they look like shit. Need help to find better ones.

The headlights are a breeze - just a straight swap - the tails can be a little complicated depending on your cars origin. Mine was assembled in Germany for the Japanese market so I don't have the extra fog fitting.

When I bougt the car it had S500 badges on it - then when I had it painted black it cme back with S600 badges and V12 pillar emblems. Go figure.

id agree. my friend has an s320 and id say its got enough balls and feels pretty quick... i however have an s500 and the car picks up speed faster but feels slower..... i guess engine noise plays a trick on your speed sensativity....... GO FIGURE!????

Yes - no performance mods however. Just replacing stock parts, wiring harness, all belts, tensioners and gaskets etc.

Nope- engine was messed up. Obviously that 12 cylinder engine generates so much heat and melts electronics and wiring inside the engine bay. So every 20 seconds or so, it loses all its power and then suddenly gets power back.

But overall- wow, it was even more than I expected. Interior, styling, aura... No wonder it costs same much (or even more) than next generation S-class here.

Still shopping for that and decided to take some time to find excellent specimen that I can keep for 5+ years.
