I enjoyed the vid, starfish1994. so thanks for posting.
Picking up on a few details. The loco at 2:06 is a Bulleid designed "West Country". One of the class was named in honour of the CPR, so I suspect you picked up the pic by googling . It is an engine that mainly ran in the south of England in late 50's early 60's.
The train at 0:20 would appear to be be a Stanier designed Jubilee class running through a station near London, UK.
The station shown at 0:20 has a 3rd rail centre of the track which carries 600V, DC. This is for the commuter trains and underground around London. You can see an underground train in the top right of the sequence which looks circa 1960's. The steam engine itself, appears to be the Jubilee class, 45690 "Leander" which is preserved and runs heritage trains.
Hi Starfish1994, great historic footage and music! You should consider submitting this to the Canada’s Got Treasures collection by joining our YouTube group (/group/TresorTreasure). It would be made available on our channel and website. Help celebrate Canadian diversity!
To bad you use a British steam engine in some of the video at sec 15,not even in Canada this part ,looks like England, even the signs are not Canadian, look at the front end of engine, clearly not in Canada.oh well
@starfish1994 nice video!! Was the contest that u had to make up a storyboard for a CPR commercial? Because I'm doing the same thing :)
