Who would have thought a french horn and bass horns would work so well with Tijuana Brass standards?
I passed this along to a leading trumpet player and band leader in St. Louis Missouri. He loved it.
I currently have this and a vocal piece by the Fischerchoir of Walk in the Black Forest with some great trumpet work saved on my computer. When ever I need to put a smile on my face, I click on one of them.
An incredibly herb alpert and tijuana brass band sound! they ought to do a world tour as the "Bootleg Herb Alpert and the Tijuana Brass Band." (Remember the Bootleg Beatles?

Manorrd, definitely, this IS a german band. the gret music they are playing, they play from the great Herb Alpert & The Tijuana Brass. Neither of the group were from Tijuana, only a neu=ighborinc city across the border from California. They were from the United States. And they were great. Have you seen "Apollo 13" film?
Well, it depend. The film is a drama; the Apollo 13 vessel was sent in 1970. There is a moment when a fragment of a song played by the band can be listened. I have seen another Tv series and documentals that use that music; it was so popular around the world and very representative of that era. In 1966 Ha & the TB sold out The Beatles in the United States. That was the year I listened them for a first time in other place of the world. There are several places in the Internet and Youtube.
Surprisingly I found all the Tijuana Brass songs on here, my mom used to listen to them when I was a child and now I can hear it along w these wonderful videos. What great Talent these guys have, I agree w you, you dont see this amount of talent anymore!
dallaspolo you are absolutely correct.Iam fed up of the crap now.Keep the jazz ,rock and all other varieties alive. We may never be able to pass on these golden pebbles to the future generation.
¿Tu sabes?

Hello Pete, these pieces are all Herb ALbert tunes....they include Tiajuane Taxi, Taste of honey, Spanish Flea, and a couple others.....does that answer your question?
Just listened to the video again Pete, fito65 has it right too. There's only one there I can't name - the last tune but that's all the other. You're quite welcome for the answers. Catchy, aren't they? LOL! Have a good one!

I sure love this kind of music specially when it's been played by such good musicians.
It nearly sounds like the oldie from Herb Alpert.
So now everybody can hear that orchestra's like "Die SüdTiroler GaudiMusikanten" can play more than mountain music..
