Todays manufacturing = Epic Fail, I think the planet will Overfill with Crap & all resources will deplete, they must want this planet Obsolete too, WTF??, I HATE Planned Obsolescence too :-)
Indeed I cannot stand planned obsolescence. I collect vintage tape recorders and a lot of them are really well-made and alot of today's stuff is crap.

Daddy, what's a REPAIR shop. Tell me about the trees again. What was it like to be free? Was it scary to not have all of our personal information on the chips in our bodies? I really wish I could taste one of those organic apples that you always talk about!....Could you handle those questions from your kid?
The throw away mentality has all but destroyed the small business, the planets resources and the pride and quality of the products we use today. My grandfather told my dad years ago that if you don't have time to do it right the first time where will you find time to do it again. That is a sentiment that is sadly lacking in our modern industrial system. Peace.
lol, my parents got one of those as a wedding present! Must have been really popular.
Good, enduring design is the difference between heaven and hell, it effects every aspect of our lives, every day. The PO that you mention is one of my #1 problems with industrialization. There really should be a battery of laws designed to prevent such abuses.
