As far as I'm concerned, if you paid for the ipod, it's no longer in posession of Apple-it is your private property and you can do whatever you like with it, unlike when using sources such as Cabos, Limewire or Ares to download music to your ipod, which you can be caught doing simply because you are stealing and therefore ripping the apple company off (as though they aren't the richest stock company as it is already).
