This is one thing the russians do well, they have a long tradition from soviet times of animation, which you can find here on youtube. The non violence aspect is quite positive, as I remember my cartoons like Thundarr the barbarian, etc. generally had a violence aspect.

These characters are cute, cuddly, have a positive msg. and good toy/industry support which is also great to see after the ruble tanked in '98.
