@RivaRider53 Could be... not by much, usually what happens when it gets planted between trees with the skies turned one way and the handle bars the other haha.
@rc8rsracer Sure but there not going to be cheap... Try Holz or Zborz. Don't change the sled to your riding style, change you riding to the sled, if it's too tippy for you just practice your balance!
@Maverick800XRS well yeah i race atv mx (quads) and you can only do so much with 46 inch width it meats its limit eventually and making it 50 inches wide helps a ton
@AllBmxAllTheTime specialty sleds in Edmonton, i ordered it custom from Boss and it was sent to Specialty. Not sure if they do custom seats anymore but either way there still sweet and a hell of a lot cheaper.
@TheDerick435 On this ride i was with one other person, but he isn't the sort that would follow me into places like this, he was around if i ran into trouble, but he might not of been able to get to a few of the areas i was in.
@Maverick800XRS Oh i understand buddy. Yeah your a good rider man i like your sled to. i just sold my 2007 x and i picked up a 2010 xp with a 146. I like to jump so i decided to go against the 154. Im pumped on it though. Im hoping for a GOOD YEAR!!!!
@TeamFreeriderz The vents are JC customs as stated in the opening pictures for changes, originally i made my own (first picture) but they were too large and weren't the best of quality. JC's are nice and thick and the screen is great, i would buy these vents again in a heart beat. I also have his kit's on my XP.
@FMFpipes Thx :D carving and sidehills have to be some of my favorite riding, i could carve a flat field all day long as long as it had 3-4feet of POW in it :D
@flippedmysled could't ride a Rev without one on it, or atleast a mod seat of some kind, changes the ride 110% for the better, Even the new XP can use a mod seat. Will be my first mod to any sled i purchase.
very , nice all do all summer is sit basement watching sled vids , lol in kelowna myself , love hunters , also the coquhall is asome to if you know where to go ,
@anonymzs Absolutely, thats where it's most important, you will notice trail performance and clutch temps when trail riding but where they need to be PERFECT is mountain riding. Anything on a sled has to be 100% and tuned properly for it to work the way it needs to. Mountain riding is the hardest style of snowmobiling and machine will ever face. A good clutch kit thats right for the steep and deep dialed for your sled should be your first mod to any good mountain machine.
@reebok6932 mine too :D theres a few things i have yet to change or customize but it's mah baby!!! she blew up in February so im thinkin 860 over the summer, finishing up the season on a 08 XP 163, haven't been out a whole lot since then though...
I would strongly recommend the Holz setup for anyone!!! usually you lose trail performance when setting up a suspension for mountain use. I gained very noticeable improvements on and off the trail. It soaks up the bumps like crazy and keeps the ski's outta the snow right where they should be on the steepest climbs, even coming over drifts it doesn't wheely that much (unless your trying to). Love it!!! Holz FTW
It will run on it's side some times, but it will eventually stall out. If it does flood then you need to hold the throttle wide open and pull it at least a few times. But if you shut it off before it does then it will start right away. Can't wait for that new EFI model!!!
Thnx man, an 04 hey, you really need to try the new chassis's you will be BLOWN away... i would probably stop riding if i had to go back to riding the old S chassis doo's...
haha what a nooooob in this video cant handle that sled... i have almost the same problem with my 08 summit 800r 151 but im only 16 and 130 ppounds lol
Well that's a very nice thing to say... talking smack won't get you any positive remarks little boy. I am very confident in my riding and i don't mind sharing a few falls or spills we all do it. Ill take any sick line you can think off. Until you upload something showing your mad skills at 16; weighing 130lbs then i wouldn't do much talking
get off your computer and go practice riding you immature bitch.. fuck you this guy is an awsome rider and even if he wasnt. you still have to put yourself on top to MAKE yourself look better than him BAAAHAHAHAHA fucking douche
one day you gotta go to revlestoke bc>>> but dont ride that regular stuff ask one of the locals about caribou most amazing untouched unknown riding iv ever been in beautiful country and all the powder you can handle
This video was taken in Revy, and i have been there, only problem with that place is the long drive outta town and then the serious avy risks at those places, the 20k's of ungroomed woops don't help neither, but amazing area!!!
i went out there one trip and it was all untouched.. its only open to the public a few days out of the year it was so rad there best riding ever.. but yea your right the avy danger is horrible and no one would be there to help.. but its so pretty
fUCKING BOONDOCK THAT BITCH.. i had the same sled... only problem that track on it was 6 pounds lighter but the paddles were so stiff it would trench me out so hard good power though... bad ass video
Thanks dood. Ya the challanger lite was a real trencher, this 2.5 has way too much traction, love it. Sled has been solid till my last ride out, motor finally went... won't be till summer when i the cash and time to rebuild it...
I thought they had a recall on that engine they put in that i think they will give you a free one.. how many miles befor it went... i had to get like 3 diff clutches through recall before i got a team clutch for it
It was not a recall, they just fixed it when it blew up. It had roughly 4200km's on it which is about 2610 miles, warranty was a no go, im on my own to fix it . Just need to get the alignment spot on and get a good clutch kit with the new bushings, Then they ROCK.
Drivers are pressed on the axle which is connected to the jackshaft which is spun by the chain in the chaincase which is connected to the secondary clutch and spun by the belt from the primary clutch all to spin the track. Look under your sled right at the front of the track and the cylinders with knobs on them are drivers. Avid would be the company, 7 tooth is how many knobs are on them and 3 pitch is the angle at which the knobs on the drivers are set at that grab the track clips.
Very strong, been riding hard on them for 2 seasons with no issues, few rock chips that have taken a little of the anodizing off but that's about it. Their much stronger than stock, i also run them without an offset axle so they take a lot more abuse but still no issues... Jumps, catwalks rocks whatever...
Yah, I get pretty bored on the trail... But it's not all bad. My sled isn't really built for speed any longer and if i sustain high speeds for too long i can smell the sliders pretty strong, the 2.5" really keeps it out of the snow, i run scratchers every where other than in the alpine where the POW is :)
Thanks :D it really has impressed me every time i ride it, loven it. Glad you liked it. All this video was taken on Boulder Mountain Revelstoke British Columbia, both spots are sort of hidden off the beaten path and don't see much action from all the other riders.
Personally i don't believe in 2 wheel kits, creates more rolling resistance which losses horsepower, that's why the new hill climber sleds have 4 wheels instead of 3. Also i have no troubles carving with my sled, swaybar still attached, 16 wide track 162 long, i don't even stand on one side to carve my sled. If it leaned over any easier id fall over most of the day... Plus when you have nice wheels, how can you show them off when there hidden :D just my honest opinion :)
yeah i just bought a 2012 doomsday sled yesterday, runs strong. alot of bottom end. endless powerband just keeps pulling like its the end of the world. haha just messin. nice Sled though man.
Thanks :D had an amazing weekend out in Revy, i am so Fin sore!!!! This dam thing tries to pull my arms off now... LOL i guess it doesn't help when im trying to climb 80degree chutes and WOT most of the day hahaha, im not breaking the sled in, the sled is breaking me in...
Good sled, Rode one on the same trip as this video, the shocks they have on them now and the changes they made to the rear skid are impressive. But something to keep in mind is that they ride or handle nothing alike... i suggest getting him to ride one for a day before committing to a buy, he may not even like it...
very nice and i bet that rides like a beut. congrats on accomplishing that by yourself, you deserve what you worked for. great job and it looks awesome. btw nice pictures on dootalk.
Ya, the suspension really works well, very impressed, improved trail & mountain performance, usually you only get 1, the running boards no longer collect snow and they are very ridged, seems like a lot more control of the sled, rather than your weight bending the boards it makes u carve :D Thanks !
Well i didn't really do a whole lot that would change the way it runs, but the SLP High flow intake breaths some new life into the little 800R, It seems like it just SCREAMS now, it's defiantly getting all the air it needs. And the clutching is perfect, it runs peak RPMS all day long, i can chop the throttle and get right back on it without missing a beat. For more details on how it's working visit my dootalk topic found in info where i talk about what i changed and how it's working :)
Did all the work because i love the Rev chassis and planned to keep it, now i REALLY wanna keep it :P when the motor needs a rebuild or replacing she's getting a turbo :D

Good sled, Rode one on the same trip as this video, the shocks they have on them now and the changes they made to the rear skid are impressive. But something to keep in mind is that they ride or handle nothing alike... i suggest getting him to ride one for a day before committing to a buy, he may not even like it...

Ya, the suspension really works well, very impressed, improved trail & mountain performance, usually you only get 1, the running boards no longer collect snow and they are very ridged, seems like a lot more control of the sled, rather than your weight bending the boards it makes u carve :D Thanks !

Thanks :D
Well i didn't really do a whole lot that would change the way it runs, but the SLP High flow intake breaths some new life into the little 800R, It seems like it just SCREAMS now, it's defiantly getting all the air it needs. And the clutching is perfect, it runs peak RPMS all day long, i can chop the throttle and get right back on it without missing a beat. For more details on how it's working visit my dootalk topic found in info where i talk about what i changed and how it's working :)
