Hondas are slow and always will be slow. I have an 06 GSXR 1000 that is turning my backyard into a graveyard of ZX-14s. ZX-14s aren't fast to begin with. And when you put a 300 lb black guy on it, who won't really twist the throttle and they put chrome rims on it, it DEFINITELY isn't fast.

you have to remember to the zx14 weighs over 200kg wet plus the guys not really small and the cbr is about 185- 190 wet plus rider so thats why the zx seems slower too.
yea i wouldn't recommend speed shifting hitting the rev limiter like that all the time, just get a quick shifter, you'll like it a TON. but look at the zx guy, he has travel bags galore on there, AND he's a bigger dude and not even fully tucked....

@MikeEagles80 Not true, on a motorcycle you can upshift without the clutch, causing no harm to the transmission if you do it correctly. Also over revving seems extremely dangerous while racing, what if the engine blows at 120+mph.
These bikes are built to be bounced off the rev limiter all day. This dude is barely creeping into the red... and the rpms are jumping because he's still heavy on the gas while pulling the clutch. He didn't even come close to blowing the motor, not by a long shot.

My hat is off to the CBR for even being able to hang as close as it did with the 14, which goes to show that the biggest bang for your buck is to buy a 1k. You can also have a bit more fun on a 1k.
You guys are all tards I've beaten busa's to one thirty on my SV-1000...The fourteen is a heavy ass pig, the power to weight ratios are very close which is why the CBR can easily keep up...
The chase bike is the Advanced Kawasaki ZX-1000R factory race bike. It takes it on the turns by a little, but once your out of it, its not even close (and the Nos was not even hooked up during that run).
Thats not even a new cbr, I would like to see a new cbr which has more power and is faster then the 2007. zx14 and busa are over rated bikes. only good for one thing goin in a straight line and most people who ride them dont know how anyway they just wanna look cool. a 1000rr will keep up ok with a zzr1400 or busa ok untill about 150, itll prolly get beat but not by much, and youve got the added bonus of having a bike thats alot of fun in the corners.
@sargares18 A recent road test of the ZZR14 & Busa, clocked a maximum speed by GPS of 179.6 & 182.5 mph for the ZZR & Busa respectively. The same mag tested a S1000RR at 190 mph by GPS. The S1000RR also exceeds the Busa horsepower at the back wheel, @ 190 bhp & 182 bhp respectively. I can't foresee any circumstances where the ZZR or the Busa could stay with the BMW. & I'm a Busa owner, so I'm not too biased!
What do you think about the jacket of the ZZR driver, He's catching a lot of wind what makes a really big difference. You're stupid in my opinion when you weare those clothes on a superbike, at the first because it's slows down you really much.

I own a CBR1000RR 2007. It is obvious the ZX14 lets off! Let's get real here guys. The ZX-14 is always going to pull better on top end unless there is a gross weight discrepancy between riders or non-stock bikes involved.
I was on my 14& my bud was on a 06 Busa, all modded out. We come across 1000s all the time. They never have a chance. And I suck! I've only been riding for a year, I still poo myself over 120 ...not really

Hondas are not bad bikes... the 1000 and the 1400 is not a race... the 1400 obviously has 400cc of an advantage... I doubt the Kawi was trying because he should have been able to pull on the CBR pretty hard.. But if thats not the case than something is wrong. Any 1000 would get smoked by a 1400.

I've never seen the CBR 1000 win anything on the World Superbike Tour. The 14 is a drag bike just like the Busa. Nothing compares to either of them on the drag strip. The 14 clearly let off the gas knowing that the CBR wasn't gonna catch him.

Honda always wins best all around, yes it has lowest hp but they worry more about centering the weight and makeing it most agile (im thinking i read it was the lightest also)... zx10 and gsxr1000 are the fastest, yes. on reliability i would chose a Honda ANYTHING over any other brand. (cars, mowers, bikes) i was a kawasaki man for the last 14 years until i got the 07 cbr1000

My hat is off to the CBR for even being able to hang as close as it did with the 14, which goes to show that the biggest bang for your buck is to buy a 1k. You can also have a bit more fun on a 1k.

The chase bike is the Advanced Kawasaki ZX-1000R factory race bike. It takes it on the turns by a little, but once your out of it, its not even close (and the Nos was not even hooked up during that run).

guy on the 14 slowed down as I would because I value my life, I love my zx14 and since I got the only one in my city every kid on a r1 and r6 wanna race me down stupid back roads lol. I raced a guy on a 929 once i was so far in front of him because I was hitting the limiter in every gear until i hit a patch of dirt on the road and almost lost my brand new zx14 because I wanted to show off , I never raced anyone again on the streets now I respect the ninja.

I own a zx14 and when it was stock no other stock bike would off kept up with me yes even a busa now i did some stuff to it like got it lowered and full brock exhaust and other things now im ready for the track. zx14 aka busa killer . It will eat busas and shit gixers

a 1000rr will keep up ok with a zzr1400 or busa ok untill about 150, itll prolly get beat but not by much, and youve got the added bonus of having a bike thats alot of fun in the corners.

@sargares18 A recent road test of the ZZR14 & Busa, clocked a maximum speed by GPS of 179.6 & 182.5 mph for the ZZR & Busa respectively. The same mag tested a S1000RR at 190 mph by GPS. The S1000RR also exceeds the Busa horsepower at the back wheel, @ 190 bhp & 182 bhp respectively. I can't foresee any circumstances where the ZZR or the Busa could stay with the BMW. & I'm a Busa owner, so I'm not too biased!

I own a CBR1000RR 2007. It is obvious the ZX14 lets off! Let's get real here guys. The ZX-14 is always going to pull better on top end unless there is a gross weight discrepancy between riders or non-stock bikes involved.

@f44life That's exactly right. Im in Northern Nevada, but in a frew hours I can be in the LAor LV. I love the desert it is where the ZX14 belongs.
I know 1000s can be moded to beat my bike, but the 14 is the most comfortable sport bike I ever sat on so I bought it. The power actually had little to do with it, though I don't think I could like with out that instant torque after each gear shift.

I have both these bikes, an 09 ZZR and an 06 Blade. They are very similar in straight line speed but the Blade has the corners! ZZR has more torque.

Both of these riders suck! Who ever's on the honda needs to learn to shift!!!! Blip the throttle, or shift without clutching (still requires to back of the throttle), instead of revving to the moon like a noob and wasting time. And any respectable rider knows that a skilled rider on any bike is better than this show of noobs. That ZX14 would crush the cbr1000rr(which i own) if it didnt have pops riding it, never-the-less learn to ride before"racing" or even purchasing one of these bikes. EGO!!!

Hondas are not bad bikes... the 1000 and the 1400 is not a race... the 1400 obviously has 400cc of an advantage... I doubt the Kawi was trying because he should have been able to pull on the CBR pretty hard.. But if thats not the case than something is wrong. Any 1000 would get smoked by a 1400.

I've never seen the CBR 1000 win anything on the World Superbike Tour. The 14 is a drag bike just like the Busa. Nothing compares to either of them on the drag strip. The 14 clearly let off the gas knowing that the CBR wasn't gonna catch him.
