@contrada41 It would be nice if non catholics would leave the Catholics well enough alone. Women can not validly be priests in the Catholic communion. This is based on scriptoral fact and christian tradition. I have respect for the anglican communion and their choices. If they really believe they should be priests they should convert. A real Catholic respects Catholic doctrine. They are not Roman Catholic, they are protestants in their own right and mis represent the Catholic Church.
I ask everyone to consider the fradulent title of this and all other videos associated with it! This HAS NEVER and WILL NEVER happen in the Catholic Church! The people posting these videos are liars! The ultimate hatfulness! But when called out they will accuse you of being the hateful one! Typical Ploy of dishonest people!
The Crassly offensive, judgemental, bigoted and evil comments made on this page come from so-called Christians who are called to love each other as we would love ourselves. Shame on you is what I say. The question is - what are you? Bigoted religious zealots whom Christ spoke out against, or Christians. If it is the latter, you display anything BUT Christian love -and replace that love with hate and venom. Vipers! You are denying the work of the Holy Spirit in these women's calling and lives.
There has never, nor will there ever be, a place for female ordination in the Catholic Church. This is definitive. It follows the 2000 yr Tradition of the Church founded by and on the personal example of Jesus Christ. Its not a question of fairness, justice or equality. Its a question of obedience, humility and faith. To rebel is satan-like. There is more likelihood of the Church declaring men can now give birth, than to allow women priests. Its impossible. Reject this and you reject Christ.
Your reply is riddled with vile nonsense. Women can not now, or ever be, priests. Rome has spoken infallibly on this issue. Res judicata The matter for the sacrament of Orders is a "vir". A male. Is one a bigot because he believes a cat can't be Baptized? Look these things up. Do you think this is some new "modern" issue? Read your history.

this is not roman catholic this is a sect tryng to destroy the one and only church of jesus Christ t to consacrate the bread nor nothing andto prove it i dare that lady phe catholic church woman priest have no athorithy and to prove it i dare that woman to try and conduce an exorcism to test the athority she thinks she has but lets not hate them but pray for them all the time
Interesting. In the Cof E we have had women priests for decades. Oh, and the official 'exorcist' of one diocese nearby is actually a woman priest, who has performed many successful exorcisms since taking office. As Jesus said "Forbid him not: for he that is not against us is for us" Lk 9:49-50. So is she exorcising in the devil's name (and successfully fracturing satan's own kingdom) or in the name of the Holy Spirit?
@MrJayguess u see at the last supper there were no wemen in there and well is not being sexist or anithing but let me tell u something there is opression and possession on an person by the devil , there is lay weman who are aloud to do this kind of stuff and deliverance ant it really easy to confuce opression with total posession trust me I know this my friends mon performs opression deliverance and its pretty similar so yeah
Your reply (riddled with spelling and grammatical errors) makes no sense, and is an illogical rant of a prejudiced bigot. And who says that only men were at the Last Supper? Certainly not the gospels, nor Paul - who writings predate the gospels by many years. All state that 'discipulos' were present - a term that in the gospels ALWAYS relates to ANY follower of Jesus - including Mary Magdalene, Mary and Martha of Bethany, Salome and so on.
@MrJayguess You are not Cathoilc! The ceromony in the video id NOT a Cathoilc Mass! You are being Dishonest by implying that women are priests in the Catholic Church! Nor are women exorsists! Its called reality, Look into it!
@contrada41 I'll ask you one question. Do you regard yourself first and foremost a Catholic? or first and foremost a Christian? If it is the latter you should have a very different outlook on this. If it is the former, then I suggest you forget loving your Church, and love God, the Holy Spiit calling these women, and love these women - however they have offended you - instead.
@MrJayguess The answer is since I am a Catholic I am a Christian! I am a follower of the Church founded by Christ himself. The church which can be traced back all the way back to the ressurection of Jesus! I am confused though, the video represents these women as " Catholic Priests" Yet you imply in your question that there is something bad about the Catholic Church! I don't believe these women or you for that matter would know the calling of the Holy Spirit if the Dove of God landed on you!
@contrada41 Actually, I think I would know the calling of the Holy Spirit - well, I did after I was called to be ordained myself. So, please don;t judge people like these women - or me - just because we don't agree with your bigoted ways. your crass judgemnetal comments are unChristian in the extreme. An apology is required.
@MrJayguess Bigoted ways? That argument MIGHT have some validitymif it was for the fact that women DO have a large role within the Catholic Church! If the Church were bigoted as you claim they certainly would have no role within the church! Further more we are often accused of "Worshiping" Mary, She is a women! If we were bigoted toward women we certainly would not worship one! Of course we don't worship Mary but that IS a common accusation! You were Ordained a Catholic Priest?
@MrJayguess What you fail to understand is that god does not commit error! Jesus gave authority to the Church he founded here on earth! It is Un-Biblical for women to be priests! The holy Spirit would not contradict God! All these people represent is and Liberal Protestant views! Curious of your views on contraception, Homosexuality, and abortion!
@contrada41 Why is it unbiblical for women to be priests? name ANY male ordained a priest in the new testament? And the Holy Spirit certainly wouldn't contradict God - i agree. but YOU, by denying the WORK of that Spirit, are contradicting God. If you email me i'll gladly share my views on contraception, homosexuality, abortion - and even priestly paedophilia for that matter
@MrJayguess The reason that women are not to be ordained is because they are not men.But the fact is that God created men to be men and women to be women. When God chose to incarnate, he did not just choose to become a human being he chose to become a man. Just as he chose to incarnate into a specific time, place, people, family, and woman, so he chose to become a specific human being the man Christ Jesus Thus those human beings who serve as priests in the person of Christ are men and not women
@MrJayguess The New Testament offers several lists of the names of Christ’s apostles, all of whom were men (Matt. 10:2–3; Luke 6:13–16; Acts 1:13, 26), and records that they were specifically chosen by Christ from among his disciples. It is the responsibility of those who claim that the New Testament is at best incorrect or at worst a falsified document to prove that assertion.
You spectacularly fail to answer the original accusation in which MrJayguess states that there are many commenting on this (and other videos) with hatred while claiming to be Christian and thus denying the teachings of Christ.
The rather trivial notion that priests must possess a penis is very secondary to the one of love, compassion and forgiveness.
@ProfMoose To the contrary! The true hatred comes from Mrjayguess and the very people who post these videos! The out right LIE that this is a Catholic Mass Is the most contemptable thing on this whole thread! Those who attempt to spread lies and heresy unfer the pretense of love and compassion and/or tolerance will not go unchallenged! Are we to believe unless we agree with your premise, weather a man or womans, that unless we agree with your flawed view we are then hateful? NONSENSE!!
@contrada41 I think, to be fair, that those who use words like 'abomination', 'evil', 'cultic' and 'satanic' against these women are far more full of hate than someone, like me, who realises that they have been called, just like a man, by the Holy Spirit whether you like it or not. They may have broken your 'rules' but if your Church produces such creatures of venom, you are welcome to it. Give me the love of God and true, loving Christianity any day.
@MrJayguess I don't answer for others just for my self! Not nessacerily the women them selves but thier actions are an Abomination, evil cultlike disrespectful...! you still have yet to respond to my evidence as to why no women priests! I gather you and the other gentleman is un-able to by your continued refusal to do so!
@ProfMoose The notion is only trivial to those who try to trivialize it! But since i have responded to your accusation of hatred! I challenge you to respond to my contentionsas to WHY it is unbiblical for women to be priests! The only thing you have done is state an opinion! I backed up my belief with scripture and historical fact! I beg you to do the same!
@contrada41 As I stated i another message - Paul mentions 27 people by name - 10 of whom were women. One is described as prominent among the apostles, several described as church leaders, and one described as an ordained deacon. And you say it is 'unBiblical' for women to become priests. Can you name ONE MAN ordained a priest in the New Testament? One?
Care to drop me an email and I'll give you a history lesson, as well as a meaningful Biblical exegesis on ministry.
@ProfMoose The very title of the video is a lie! Yet you have the nerve to accuse me of not following christs teachings? The very definition of hypocrisy!!
Something slightly amiss here. Are accusing me of hypocrisy because you say the title of the video is a lie? I hope not as that would invalidate just about everything you have posted.
@contrada41 Read what I have written. I asked if you were accusing me of hypocrisy because you say the title of the video is a lie. You have failed to answer the question.
@ProfMoose I am not accusing you of hypocrisy! I am saying that you are a liar! These women are not Catholic priests! So by saying they are you are lying!
@ProfMoose Are you going to defend the representation of these videos as factual statements? For your sake i hope not since as doing such would dis-credit you and anything you say from here on out!
@contrada41 Actually you missed out some. Paul considered himself the 'least of the apostles'. But if you include Paul then you must include Junia. Paul calls her 'prominent among the apostles'. Then we have Church leaders like Priscilla and Lydia or what about Phoebe - an ORDAINED deacon (Rom 16). Want more? Or how about the Fractio Panis a 2nd C fresco in Rome showing a WOMAN presiding at the Eucharist? Don't play the 'no women have ever been ordained' card. It's untrue and garbage.
@MrJayguess Nice try! While some try to interrupt the word "diakonos" as Deacon! The more litteral term is servant! And yes that is what a Deacon is a servant. Either way it hardly proves your point! A ordained deacon in the Catholic church today is NOT allowed to perform any of the sacraments, aor any other of the priestly duties performed by priests! Certainly a priest is not allowed to Ordain other preists! Pheobe was a servant of Paul who carried epistles to the Roman Church!
@MrJayguess Lydia on the other hand was a a woman that Paul and others came across in their travels! She was a seller of purple dyes! She was baptized by Paul and was noted as giving hospitality to Paul and others in their travels! Again, hardly proof of women being ordained priests! You make a quantam leap when you try to bridge the gap of messenger and someone who gives hospatality to Paul to its proof of women being able to be Ordained Priests!
@MrJayguess As far as Junia goes! First, Junia or Junias a man or woman! The church father Chrysostom (died A.D. 407) referred to this person as a woman but the church father Origen (died A.D. 252) referred to Junias as a man and the early church historian Epiphanius (died A.D. 403) explicitly uses a masculine pronoun of Junias and seems to have specific information about him when he says that "Junias, of whom Paul makes mention, became bishop of Apameia of Syria"
@contrada41 Oh, and Junia was a woman. No serious theologian now questons her gender. The Greek is clear too. Junia is a feminine name which was only translated as 'Junias' in later Latin translations. One translation from 200AD even calls her 'Julia'. Over 200 secular manuscripts from antiquity mention people called 'Junia' ALL of which are female. Almost all scholars confirm her femininity. If you wish, I will give plenty of citations from eminent scholars to this effect.
@contrada41 I a now going to email you privately, to avoid embarassment on your part and so that a full response can be given to you (unless your email is locked, that is). Lots to say to you, lots of history, theology and Bible study lessons to teach you!
@MrJayguess I'll pass on the history lesson! LOL You obviously know nothing about it and what you do know you revise and twist things to fit your agenda! Did-honesty is easy to expose when one uses truth and facts!
@contrada41 As I said, I have emailed you at length. Rather than publiclly pillory you as you try to score cheap points, I seem to have a little more integrity, so I have suggested continuing this in private. Abuse as you've shown is the last bastion of the loser.
As far as Im concerned public dialogue here is over. BTW you are wrong about Junia, Phoebe & Lydia. As a church leader in a house church Lydia would have presided in the breaking of bread long before priests & the mass were invented.
@MrJayguess I hope that everyone reading these posts see what is happening! When confronted with facts not only about the assertion the women becoming priests, but the fact the videos are posted under the premise of a lie that the only responses are how "abusive" or hateful or whatever! I listed 3 of the MOST prominent church fathers as to the validity of the Junia claim, Historical facts on Pheobe, and Lydia with NO credable refute! Emotion instead of fact is a loosing proposition for you Jay!
@contrada41 No. One of the three regarded Junia as feminine. And youre wrong about Chrysosom who wrote " "...SHE would be even counted worthy of the appellation of apostle.”. Throughout the early Fathers there was an overwhelming agreement that she was female, until the middle ages when the Church regarded her as 'male' with no evidence whatsoever except for a couple of maverick commentators. Citations available if you want them..
@MrJayguess Again, You mix apples with oranges. Yes eventually she did become head of her household and hence head of the Church of her house! But the chronology of events matters! Paul converted her and it wasn't till after that fact that she was AND her family were Baptized, not she FOR her family! Second, to say that since a widow, who through no fault of her own, was by default head of her house that somehow means women should be priests is the essence of obsurdity!
@MrJayguess Not calling on anyone! As a magtter of fact YOU are the only one in this thread who have had someone speak on their behalf ex;ProfMoose! And you can make fun of my spelling if it makes you feel better! I understand. You fail on your argument so you resort to ridicule! But wait I thought I was the hateful one? Its called a mirror you might want to look into one!
@MrJayguess Lydia is NOwhere dipicted as a church leader in a house church! She wasn't even a christian when first encountered by Paul! Fact are the stumbling blocks of ignorance! Or am I just being Abusive?
@contrada41 No. Youre just being ignorant. or at least economical with the truth. At the start of Christianity all churches were house churches, who were (including the embryonic Eucharist). presided over by the head of the household. We read in Acts that Lydia was a businesswoman and ALREADY a believer in God (Acts 16:14) and that when SHE was baptised the whole household was baptised (Acts 16:15) confirming that she was the leader of the household and hence the church leader there. QED.
@MrJayguess Is there a difference with being economical with the truth and being dishonest with the truth? Which are you? What you say about the start of christianity is true! Congratulations. But where you get of track is with the chronology of events! When Paul first encountered Lydia she was NOT already a Christian as you say. She was a righteous Gentile meaning she did in fact believe in God but not a christian! That came later when she AND her whole house were Baptized not her for her house
@contrada41 And, therefore, as a householder she would have presided over the Eucharistic meal in tthe role, which we recognise today, of a priest - as this is the prime priestly function. Couple this with frescos like the Fractio Panis, which show a woman presiding, and it is clear that women, as well as men, had priestly roles in the early church long before the 'priest' and 'mass' were invented. Deny this, and you deny Luke's account and the rest of history.
@MrJayguess This makes my point that you a clever twister of events and history in order to further your agenda and then you use the very compasion and understanding the jesus taught to promote things that are clearly not true or are BIBLICAL! I will not be fooled by your tricks! This is not hatful it is standing up for truth and God! Not selfish wishes of men!!
@contrada41 Wrong again. Wrong about Junia, wrong about Lydia. The Greek states 'oikos autes' [pers.posess. pron] SHE possessed the house. This is also made clear later: 'menaite kai parabiasato' better translated as SHE, with authority constrained us' as this same word is used elsewhere eg when Paul is imprisoned. Now, unless you wish you argue with Luke too, accept that she was a householder, and hence leader of that house church, or go away. The only selfish wishes of men here are yours.
@MrJayguess And, therefore, as a householder she would have presided over the Eucharistic meal in tthe role, which we recognise today, of a priest - as this is the prime priestly function. Couple this with frescos like the Fractio Panis, which show a woman presiding, and it is clear that women, as well as men, had priestly roles in the early church long before the 'priest' and 'mass' were invented. Deny this, and you deny Luke's account and the rest of history.
@MrJayguess Wher exactly in Luke does it say that Junia had the Priestly Power to perform the Eucharistic miracle! Chapter and verse please! Good luck! Because as you well know historically speaking Women did not EVER serve in that aspect! Being head of the house and presiding over prayer is a far cry from performing the Eucharistic Miracle! But of course you rely on assumptions and guesses! Or you rely on a painting that doesn't even reflect what you say it does! Again, DISHONESTY!!!!!!
@MrJayguess The Fratico Panis Does not in fact have a woman presiding as Mr. Jay tries to imply! There is a woman in the picture BUT she is not the one "presiding" in any way she is a mere participant! The bearded man who is actually holding the bread and looking upward to heaven is the one presiding! Revisionist history and out right Dishonesty will not suffice in making a point that cannot be made!!
@MrJayguess I grow weary of this sophmoric argument! I would refer EVERONE to refer to the passage 1 Corinthians 14:34 where Paul himself states what has been held as parctice for 2000 years! Are you Mr. Jay going to refute Paul? someone who you have cited so frequently ? Good luck!!!!
@contrada41 Now you have finished your childish, illiterate and venomous rant (what an objectionable person you are!), I will end this dialogue with ONE comment alone. As someone who is ordained himself, I well know the calling and thorough discernment process that I had and the guidance of the Holy Spirit in my journey. And these women will have gone through the same process, of being called, of a lengthy discernment process, formal training, and the invocation of the Holy Spirit... (cont)
@contrada41 (cont)...throughout the whole journey. And neither you nor me, nor the others spouting evil venom on this site, nor even the pope, can judge these women if they have been called by the Holy Spirit as have men. their call comes from the Holy Sirit, and ttherefore they should be loved as Christian sisters. Chriist even prayed for those who crucified him, and yet YOU deny that love by spouting nothing byt poison. Shame on you. (cont)
@contrada41 (cont) No matter what I say, how much I attempt to convince you even using factual materials and citations, and even the original Greek of the NT, you wlll not see reason. Your pharisitic prejudice is ingrained, and your heart is hard. When you begin to actually follow Christ's teaching and show love, and attempt to grow more like him, come back and talk. Otherwise, stay away. Frankly, I have bettter things to do than fraternise with an ignoramus. The dialogue is over.
@MrJayguess This never was a Dialouge. Its was and is a repudiation of a lie. You never revealed what you are ordained as, you never explained why these women are advertised as Catholic priests when they are not, And most interestingly you never responded to the passage that I presented you of 1 Corinthians 14:34! Of course there is a reason for that and we both know what that reason is, don't we? BTW, You accuse me of all theses hateful and venomous things yet you end calling me a name! TYPICAL
@contrada41 1. Ordained in the Anglican church. 2.I have already explained in private in detail the historical, theological & biblical reasons - including in the Greek why women can be priests, but you are too dim and illiterate to understand. 3. You well know (I hope) the context of the Corinthian passage and I would ask you NOT to bastardise scripture you do not understand. I could cite Gal 3;28 too, .but you won't understand that either. Now grow up.
@MrJayguess Hearing the word context from you is comical. What you explained to me in private was no explanation at all. Nothing more than mere conjecture assumption and wishful thinking! You purposefully mis-represent the Fractio Panis as something it is not, you make contentions about Pheobe, Lydia and Junia! talk about context! YOU sir have No shame! But MOST telling if the fact you an Anglican! Given the History of the Church of England you have no room to call anybody Hateful!
THis is not a Catholic church, it sounds like a Salvation Army marching band. So called women priests have no liturgical taste. They like innovation and novelities, and they turn the Mass into rollicking folk fest, making up their own prayers and sometimes even using cookies for communion. They are rather...crazy. Not Catholic. Crazy.
Hmmm and, of course, you know the music that Jesus himself used at the last supper? Presumably he also used prayers from the missal? Oh.... and little white wafers with crucifixes on?
It matters not one JOT what these women use for communion - but what matters, as Jesus confirmed, is the content of their hearts, which from this video seem justified before God - unlike the crass prejudiced answer you have just posted.
@MyBetty111 Can I ask you, what is wrong wit using modern music? Liturgical taste? What on earth does THAT mean? LOL . What is wrong with extemporised prayer? And why NOT use something else as the bread? Did Christ use little round wafers? Of course not. He would have used unleavened flat bread as part of the Passover meal... dot unlike modern cookies, in fact. And who are YOU to deny the calling to ordination of the Holy Spirit in these women?
Witches! No altar but a table! Horrible music! Tacky albs/"vestments." This is not Catholic. It might be Methodist or Baptist. Why do women abuse the liturgy more than the Novus Ordo establishment does?
There's is nothing Catholic, , good, true, or beautiful about this.
You can declare tomorrow that the Law of Gravity is null and void, but that doesn't make it so. Truth is truth and pretending otherwise changes NOTHING!
yOU'RE NOT CATHOLIC!!!!!
This isn't Catholic - it is a cult protesting against doctrines and dogma laid down by the Catholic Church - therefore denoted as Protestant and Heresy.
If you only knew how much harm you did to Holy Mother the Church. If you only knew!!! May God and His Blessed Mother forgive you for the pain you give Them. And PLEASE keep the name of our Pope Benedict out of your game plan. He does not deserve that and has nothing to do with your CULT.
This is not a Cathoilc Church. The cross in the center has no image of Christ, therefore it can't be catholic. I have not seen just a plain cross in the catholic church.
What can I add to the many reasonable, logical, theologically accurate comments found here already? In 50 million years there will still be NO WOMEN CATHOLIC PRIESTS. Then again I might petition Pope Benedict to give men the right to have babies. Yep, Im sure he has that power too. I mean we are all equal are we not? So thats final. I want a baby. Now I expect a little opposition from this baby-having-man-hating church, but if all you wmen support my cause it should be ok. Shouldn't it????
u worship devil.. Jesus is love.. cursing people to hell in Christ holy name. the Lord says not all people who call me Lord Lord will go to heaven. and our Lord sais,"why, you look at the speck in ur brother's eyes and pay no attention to the log in your own eyes?"(matthew 7:1-6).. catholic and apostolic is not religion but a history of faith. im a roman cath. but i understan Church history more than ur hatred.
@caydamien02 Why write such judgemental offensive venom? Read Matt 7 1-6 and apply it to yourself. You purport to be 'Christian' yet call them satanic, and spout poison. You viper!. Where is Christian love? You should be ashamed of yourself.
@kai81loong I think not, friend. If these women are responding to the call of the Holy Spirit then, unless you deny that call by second-guessing the work of that Spirit, there is nothing that you can do to stem the flow, nor should you, lest you be condemned long before these women who are doing God's will.
Blasphemy and sacrilege. You advertised your status as excommunicates? You know of your apostate lies, and yet you still claim the title 'Catholic'. The Pope approved the excommunication of two of your 'priestesses', why do you claim to 'welcome' him?
@MuffinMojo Perhaps they are carrying out the Christian message? They break man-made rules, not God's law, so the Pope acts out of spite and malice. If he believes 'excathedra nulla salis' as faras he is concerned he has condemned them to hell. (acting as judge instead of God!) Yet these women are acting out of love for the pope DESPITE his actions. Now, considering Christ's teaching of turning the other cheek, who is actually following Christ's teaching and God's will?
Tacky music, plain Protestant cross, kitchen table, no real sacred iconography, tacky, tacky, tacky--that spells this women priestesses movement.

contrada41 2 months ago
@contrada41 I'll ask you one question. Do you regard yourself first and foremost a Catholic? or first and foremost a Christian? If it is the latter you should have a very different outlook on this. If it is the former, then I suggest you forget loving your Church, and love God, the Holy Spiit calling these women, and love these women - however they have offended you - instead.
MrJayguess 2 months ago
@MrJayguess The answer is since I am a Catholic I am a Christian! I am a follower of the Church founded by Christ himself. The church which can be traced back all the way back to the ressurection of Jesus! I am confused though, the video represents these women as " Catholic Priests" Yet you imply in your question that there is something bad about the Catholic Church! I don't believe these women or you for that matter would know the calling of the Holy Spirit if the Dove of God landed on you!
contrada41 2 months ago
@contrada41 Actually, I think I would know the calling of the Holy Spirit - well, I did after I was called to be ordained myself. So, please don;t judge people like these women - or me - just because we don't agree with your bigoted ways. your crass judgemnetal comments are unChristian in the extreme. An apology is required.
MrJayguess 2 months ago
@MrJayguess Bigoted ways? That argument MIGHT have some validitymif it was for the fact that women DO have a large role within the Catholic Church! If the Church were bigoted as you claim they certainly would have no role within the church! Further more we are often accused of "Worshiping" Mary, She is a women! If we were bigoted toward women we certainly would not worship one! Of course we don't worship Mary but that IS a common accusation! You were Ordained a Catholic Priest?
contrada41 2 months ago
@MrJayguess What you fail to understand is that god does not commit error! Jesus gave authority to the Church he founded here on earth! It is Un-Biblical for women to be priests! The holy Spirit would not contradict God! All these people represent is and Liberal Protestant views! Curious of your views on contraception, Homosexuality, and abortion!
contrada41 2 months ago
@contrada41 Why is it unbiblical for women to be priests? name ANY male ordained a priest in the new testament? And the Holy Spirit certainly wouldn't contradict God - i agree. but YOU, by denying the WORK of that Spirit, are contradicting God. If you email me i'll gladly share my views on contraception, homosexuality, abortion - and even priestly paedophilia for that matter
MrJayguess 2 months ago
@MrJayguess The reason that women are not to be ordained is because they are not men.But the fact is that God created men to be men and women to be women. When God chose to incarnate, he did not just choose to become a human being he chose to become a man. Just as he chose to incarnate into a specific time, place, people, family, and woman, so he chose to become a specific human being the man Christ Jesus Thus those human beings who serve as priests in the person of Christ are men and not women
contrada41 2 months ago
@MrJayguess The New Testament offers several lists of the names of Christ’s apostles, all of whom were men (Matt. 10:2–3; Luke 6:13–16; Acts 1:13, 26), and records that they were specifically chosen by Christ from among his disciples. It is the responsibility of those who claim that the New Testament is at best incorrect or at worst a falsified document to prove that assertion.
contrada41 2 months ago
@contrada41
ProfMoose 2 months ago
@ProfMoose To the contrary! The true hatred comes from Mrjayguess and the very people who post these videos! The out right LIE that this is a Catholic Mass Is the most contemptable thing on this whole thread! Those who attempt to spread lies and heresy unfer the pretense of love and compassion and/or tolerance will not go unchallenged! Are we to believe unless we agree with your premise, weather a man or womans, that unless we agree with your flawed view we are then hateful? NONSENSE!!
contrada41 2 months ago
@contrada41 I think, to be fair, that those who use words like 'abomination', 'evil', 'cultic' and 'satanic' against these women are far more full of hate than someone, like me, who realises that they have been called, just like a man, by the Holy Spirit whether you like it or not. They may have broken your 'rules' but if your Church produces such creatures of venom, you are welcome to it. Give me the love of God and true, loving Christianity any day.
MrJayguess 2 months ago
@MrJayguess I don't answer for others just for my self! Not nessacerily the women them selves but thier actions are an Abomination, evil cultlike disrespectful...! you still have yet to respond to my evidence as to why no women priests! I gather you and the other gentleman is un-able to by your continued refusal to do so!
contrada41 2 months ago
@ProfMoose The notion is only trivial to those who try to trivialize it! But since i have responded to your accusation of hatred! I challenge you to respond to my contentionsas to WHY it is unbiblical for women to be priests! The only thing you have done is state an opinion! I backed up my belief with scripture and historical fact! I beg you to do the same!
contrada41 2 months ago
@contrada41 As I stated i another message - Paul mentions 27 people by name - 10 of whom were women. One is described as prominent among the apostles, several described as church leaders, and one described as an ordained deacon. And you say it is 'unBiblical' for women to become priests. Can you name ONE MAN ordained a priest in the New Testament? One?
Care to drop me an email and I'll give you a history lesson, as well as a meaningful Biblical exegesis on ministry.
MrJayguess 2 months ago
@ProfMoose The very title of the video is a lie! Yet you have the nerve to accuse me of not following christs teachings? The very definition of hypocrisy!!
contrada41 2 months ago
@contrada41
Something slightly amiss here. Are accusing me of hypocrisy because you say the title of the video is a lie? I hope not as that would invalidate just about everything you have posted.
ProfMoose 2 months ago
@ProfMoose Well this should be interesting! Please explain how pointing out the dishonesty on display invalidates everything i have said!
contrada41 2 months ago
@contrada41 Read what I have written. I asked if you were accusing me of hypocrisy because you say the title of the video is a lie. You have failed to answer the question.
ProfMoose 1 week ago
@ProfMoose I am not accusing you of hypocrisy! I am saying that you are a liar! These women are not Catholic priests! So by saying they are you are lying!
contrada41 1 week ago
@ProfMoose Are you going to defend the representation of these videos as factual statements? For your sake i hope not since as doing such would dis-credit you and anything you say from here on out!
contrada41 2 months ago
@contrada41 Actually you missed out some. Paul considered himself the 'least of the apostles'. But if you include Paul then you must include Junia. Paul calls her 'prominent among the apostles'. Then we have Church leaders like Priscilla and Lydia or what about Phoebe - an ORDAINED deacon (Rom 16). Want more? Or how about the Fractio Panis a 2nd C fresco in Rome showing a WOMAN presiding at the Eucharist? Don't play the 'no women have ever been ordained' card. It's untrue and garbage.
MrJayguess 2 months ago
@MrJayguess Nice try! While some try to interrupt the word "diakonos" as Deacon! The more litteral term is servant! And yes that is what a Deacon is a servant. Either way it hardly proves your point! A ordained deacon in the Catholic church today is NOT allowed to perform any of the sacraments, aor any other of the priestly duties performed by priests! Certainly a priest is not allowed to Ordain other preists! Pheobe was a servant of Paul who carried epistles to the Roman Church!
contrada41 2 months ago
@MrJayguess Lydia on the other hand was a a woman that Paul and others came across in their travels! She was a seller of purple dyes! She was baptized by Paul and was noted as giving hospitality to Paul and others in their travels! Again, hardly proof of women being ordained priests! You make a quantam leap when you try to bridge the gap of messenger and someone who gives hospatality to Paul to its proof of women being able to be Ordained Priests!
contrada41 2 months ago
@MrJayguess As far as Junia goes! First, Junia or Junias a man or woman! The church father Chrysostom (died A.D. 407) referred to this person as a woman but the church father Origen (died A.D. 252) referred to Junias as a man and the early church historian Epiphanius (died A.D. 403) explicitly uses a masculine pronoun of Junias and seems to have specific information about him when he says that "Junias, of whom Paul makes mention, became bishop of Apameia of Syria"
contrada41 2 months ago

MrJayguess 2 months ago
@MrJayguess I'll pass on the history lesson! LOL You obviously know nothing about it and what you do know you revise and twist things to fit your agenda! Did-honesty is easy to expose when one uses truth and facts!
contrada41 2 months ago
@contrada41 As I said, I have emailed you at length. Rather than publiclly pillory you as you try to score cheap points, I seem to have a little more integrity, so I have suggested continuing this in private. Abuse as you've shown is the last bastion of the loser.
As far as Im concerned public dialogue here is over. BTW you are wrong about Junia, Phoebe & Lydia. As a church leader in a house church Lydia would have presided in the breaking of bread long before priests & the mass were invented.
MrJayguess 2 months ago
@MrJayguess I hope that everyone reading these posts see what is happening! When confronted with facts not only about the assertion the women becoming priests, but the fact the videos are posted under the premise of a lie that the only responses are how "abusive" or hateful or whatever! I listed 3 of the MOST prominent church fathers as to the validity of the Junia claim, Historical facts on Pheobe, and Lydia with NO credable refute! Emotion instead of fact is a loosing proposition for you Jay!
contrada41 2 months ago
@contrada41 No. One of the three regarded Junia as feminine. And youre wrong about Chrysosom who wrote " "...SHE would be even counted worthy of the appellation of apostle.”. Throughout the early Fathers there was an overwhelming agreement that she was female, until the middle ages when the Church regarded her as 'male' with no evidence whatsoever except for a couple of maverick commentators. Citations available if you want them..
MrJayguess 2 months ago
@MrJayguess Again, You mix apples with oranges. Yes eventually she did become head of her household and hence head of the Church of her house! But the chronology of events matters! Paul converted her and it wasn't till after that fact that she was AND her family were Baptized, not she FOR her family! Second, to say that since a widow, who through no fault of her own, was by default head of her house that somehow means women should be priests is the essence of obsurdity!
contrada41 2 months ago
@contrada41 Now calling on the reserve troops to help you in your hour of need??? LOL
(btw, I'll correct your spelling and grammar again, if you like, in private)
MrJayguess 2 months ago
@MrJayguess Not calling on anyone! As a magtter of fact YOU are the only one in this thread who have had someone speak on their behalf ex;ProfMoose! And you can make fun of my spelling if it makes you feel better! I understand. You fail on your argument so you resort to ridicule! But wait I thought I was the hateful one? Its called a mirror you might want to look into one!
contrada41 2 months ago
@MrJayguess Lydia is NOwhere dipicted as a church leader in a house church! She wasn't even a christian when first encountered by Paul! Fact are the stumbling blocks of ignorance! Or am I just being Abusive?
contrada41 2 months ago
@contrada41 No. QED.
MrJayguess 2 months ago
@MrJayguess Is there a difference with being economical with the truth and being dishonest with the truth? Which are you? What you say about the start of christianity is true! Congratulations. But where you get of track is with the chronology of events! When Paul first encountered Lydia she was NOT already a Christian as you say. She was a righteous Gentile meaning she did in fact believe in God but not a christian! That came later when she AND her whole house were Baptized not her for her house
contrada41 2 months ago

@contrada41 And, therefore, as a householder she would have presided over the Eucharistic meal in tthe role, which we recognise today, of a priest - as this is the prime priestly function. Couple this with frescos like the Fractio Panis, which show a woman presiding, and it is clear that women, as well as men, had priestly roles in the early church long before the 'priest' and 'mass' were invented. Deny this, and you deny Luke's account and the rest of history.
MrJayguess 2 months ago
@MrJayguess This makes my point that you a clever twister of events and history in order to further your agenda and then you use the very compasion and understanding the jesus taught to promote things that are clearly not true or are BIBLICAL! I will not be fooled by your tricks! This is not hatful it is standing up for truth and God! Not selfish wishes of men!!
contrada41 2 months ago

MrJayguess 2 months ago
Again, DISHONESTY!!!!!!
contrada41 2 months ago
@MrJayguess The Fratico Panis Does not in fact have a woman presiding as Mr. Jay tries to imply! There is a woman in the picture BUT she is not the one "presiding" in any way she is a mere participant! The bearded man who is actually holding the bread and looking upward to heaven is the one presiding! Revisionist history and out right Dishonesty will not suffice in making a point that cannot be made!!
contrada41 2 months ago
@MrJayguess I grow weary of this sophmoric argument! I would refer EVERONE to refer to the passage 1 Corinthians 14:34 where Paul himself states what has been held as parctice for 2000 years! Are you Mr. Jay going to refute Paul? someone who you have cited so frequently ? Good luck!!!!
contrada41 2 months ago
@contrada41 Now you have finished your childish, illiterate and venomous rant (what an objectionable person you are!), I will end this dialogue with ONE comment alone. As someone who is ordained himself, I well know the calling and thorough discernment process that I had and the guidance of the Holy Spirit in my journey. And these women will have gone through the same process, of being called, of a lengthy discernment process, formal training, and the invocation of the Holy Spirit... (cont)
MrJayguess 2 months ago
@contrada41 (cont)...throughout the whole journey. And neither you nor me, nor the others spouting evil venom on this site, nor even the pope, can judge these women if they have been called by the Holy Spirit as have men. their call comes from the Holy Sirit, and ttherefore they should be loved as Christian sisters. Chriist even prayed for those who crucified him, and yet YOU deny that love by spouting nothing byt poison. Shame on you. (cont)
MrJayguess 2 months ago
@contrada41 (cont) No matter what I say, how much I attempt to convince you even using factual materials and citations, and even the original Greek of the NT, you wlll not see reason. Your pharisitic prejudice is ingrained, and your heart is hard. When you begin to actually follow Christ's teaching and show love, and attempt to grow more like him, come back and talk. Otherwise, stay away. Frankly, I have bettter things to do than fraternise with an ignoramus. The dialogue is over.
MrJayguess 2 months ago
@MrJayguess This never was a Dialouge. Its was and is a repudiation of a lie. You never revealed what you are ordained as, you never explained why these women are advertised as Catholic priests when they are not, And most interestingly you never responded to the passage that I presented you of 1 Corinthians 14:34! Of course there is a reason for that and we both know what that reason is, don't we? BTW, You accuse me of all theses hateful and venomous things yet you end calling me a name! TYPICAL
contrada41 2 months ago
@contrada41 1. Ordained in the Anglican church. 2.I have already explained in private in detail the historical, theological & biblical reasons - including in the Greek why women can be priests, but you are too dim and illiterate to understand. 3. You well know (I hope) the context of the Corinthian passage and I would ask you NOT to bastardise scripture you do not understand. I could cite Gal 3;28 too, .but you won't understand that either. Now grow up.
MrJayguess 2 months ago
@MrJayguess Hearing the word context from you is comical. What you explained to me in private was no explanation at all. Nothing more than mere conjecture assumption and wishful thinking! You purposefully mis-represent the Fractio Panis as something it is not, you make contentions about Pheobe, Lydia and Junia! talk about context! YOU sir have No shame! But MOST telling if the fact you an Anglican! Given the History of the Church of England you have no room to call anybody Hateful!

This is closer to trick or treats than it is a legitimate Catholic mass.
MANKATO311 1 year ago
THis is not a Catholic church, it sounds like a Salvation Army marching band. So called women priests have no liturgical taste. They like innovation and novelities, and they turn the Mass into rollicking folk fest, making up their own prayers and sometimes even using cookies for communion. They are rather...crazy. Not Catholic. Crazy.
MyBetty111 1 year ago
@MyBetty111
MrJayguess 8 months ago
@MyBetty111 Can I ask you, what is wrong wit using modern music? Liturgical taste? What on earth does THAT mean? LOL . What is wrong with extemporised prayer? And why NOT use something else as the bread? Did Christ use little round wafers? Of course not. He would have used unleavened flat bread as part of the Passover meal... dot unlike modern cookies, in fact. And who are YOU to deny the calling to ordination of the Holy Spirit in these women?
MrJayguess 2 months ago
Witches! No altar but a table! Horrible music! Tacky albs/"vestments." This is not Catholic. It might be Methodist or Baptist. Why do women abuse the liturgy more than the Novus Ordo establishment does?
MyBetty111 1 year ago
@MyBetty111 May God forgive you for your venomous comment.

@MuffinMojo Perhaps they are carrying out the Christian message? They break man-made rules, not God's law, so the Pope acts out of spite and malice. If he believes 'excathedra nulla salis' as faras he is concerned he has condemned them to hell. (acting as judge instead of God!)
