  • M.U.L.E was a 2600 game?

  • Why is a kid reviewing atari games?

  • Great vid, dunno whats going on with the likes and dislikes though

  • ok, i guess i can understand, these are the best games from atari flashback 2

  • WTF, secret quest? Adventure was where it was at.

  • "Warlords" was my favorite of all. when playing with 4 players at once got CRAZY. Tons of fun.

  • Dont know why you preefer Pitfall one and not Pitfall two (a masterwork with an added soundchip)

Whats about Ms. Pacman? or with Wintergames. California Games? and have you ever seen Super Cobra or tutankham? They are all better than your choice. Moon Patrol is also nice.

  • Outlaw is the best game on the Atari 2600!

  • 'I, Robot', in my opinion, is the best. I just find it so ahead of its time and very innovative.

  • My favorites (in no particular order) were Defender, Asteroids, battlezone, laserblast, missle command, enduro, plaque attack, burgertime, kaboom, donkey Kong Jr, Ms Pacman, Pitfall, Desert Falcon, Jungle Hunt, super challenge football (my favorite 2 player game) berzerk, ET, homerun baseball. More than 10 but those were my favorites :)

  • @MissAdelissa ET is known as the worst game of all time.

  • @TheGamerFromMars lol I know I heard about how they dumped loads of them because they didn't sell, but when you are very young, it seemed like a cute game to me...

  • @TheGamerFromMars It's not great, but it's not nearly as bad as everybody says it is. A look in the instruction manual is all it takes to figure out what you're supposed to do. However, it's by no means a good game, but, it's not a bad one. It's just not that much fun.

  • Well I disagree with your list but that's why we all have opinions. Some of my favorites were Adventure (of course), Demon Attack, Circus Atari (talk about addictive!), Phaser Patrol (Starpath Supercharger), and my favorite of all time had to be River Raid.

  • I enjoyed playing Atari games a lot more than anything after that. Everything started to become to real, to the point where it was no longer like a computer game. I suppose that's the way it has to go, but there is nothing as exciting as playing Pheonix on the Atari 2600. Those games were so dark and creepy looking. Those sound effects. WOW! BRING BACK THE ATARI 2600!

  • What,no Adventure or Superman? And Star Raiders, that was actually complex and fun on the 2600, but a lot better on the 800.

  • Forgot double dragon, PAC man. Dark Chambers. Pole position. Desert falcon. Just to name a few.

  • The grandfather of them all is the odessey from 1972. And the fairchild channel F was out six months before the vcs.

  • @MrBatatari How about the cathode ray tube amusement device.

  • @MrBatatari

That was more like the Great Grandfather of Home Consoles :)

  • I have Atari Anthology. I've checked and am sorry to say Climber's not on it.

  • oh noooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo

please you must change pong(because is not part of the original titles),with pac man because was the atari icon back in time!!!!!!!!

  • Comment removed

  • Stop rating this down.. it's a good review

  • Er, where the fuck is Vanguard in this list.....was an awesome game!

  • does anyone else notice that ALL of these games happen to be on the atari flashback2. He needs to get a real atari2600.

  • Solaris on the 2600 was by far the best in my opinion ;)

  • I liked your list, those are all pretty fun games.

  • Good review.

  • my top ten 10. worm war 1 9. et the extra terestrial ( yes im serius ) 8. astroids 7. video pinball 6. donkey kong 5. pole position 4. warlords 3. adventure 2. jungle hunt 1. crystal castles
  • @bestmanblade29 I'm just proving the point that I'm better then you.

  • @bestmanblade29 u no notin bout sub- WHICH IS VERY ANOYING- and lots of retarded crap.

  • what was name of game in which man crossing water and building hut

  • @ynr044930 Frostbite from activision.

  • pong was never actually released for the atari 2600, some develops just made a homebrew version of the game for emulators

  • @xxchimakaraxx I have no respect for people that can't read a simple annotation.

  • @TheGamerFromMars sorry, i turned off the annotations to get the annoying "Click Here!" out of the way

  • @xxchimakaraxx

that`s right.......video olympics.......the original pong was actually a proper console

  • Wow.. Activision has been much better :D

  • atari 26 was not the grand pa of all systems its was the mangnavox odssey that game out 1972

  • @kevinsvideogameworld To bad no one bought the odssey. There is no need to correct me on things you learned from the avgn, we all know.

  • i knew that from studying ludology part of my programming degree but i wouldn't say ralph boer is the grandfather of video games i would definatley say its nolan bushnell :)

  • Your crazy, secret quest came out in I989,Zelda cam out before that.

  • @123stephenno Thank you for being the 3rd person to point that out.

  • @TheGamerFromMars Are you playing secret quest on a cartridge thsat usually goes for 50 dollers? Or are all these games from the flashback 2

  • Enduro, Maze Craze, Ms. Pac-Man, Adventure, Pete Rose Baseball, Space Invaders, Centipede, Demonds to Diamonds, Air-Sea Battle, Indiana Jones: Raiders of the Lost Ark: All of these games are better than the ones you mentioned. I'm 44 and remember these like it was yesterday. Well produced video...

  • I enjoy the review, but why do you talk like a robot? Just try to loosen up a bit for the viewers at home... Not hating, just constructive criticism.

  • you look like you have experience with the Atari 2600. from your point of view, do you think it's good enough to buy one.

  • @chris2011378 Get a flashback 2 and see how you like it.

  • Why all the hate? I'm 18 and I'm crazy about the NES and Atari 2600. Just because you weren't born during a console's heyday doesn't mean you can't appreciate it. Although your history seems a bit off...

  • Solid reviews, especially at 14. Don't let the haters shame you, they'd keep us all drowning in mediocrity. One minor correction - Secret Quest came out years after Zelda. Long after the NES saved the American videogame market, Atari was still making games for the 2600. Check out Kung Fu Master and Ghostbusters for other NES style games on the system, or skip to the best of them, released only last year - Halo.

  • great job with the video

  • how do u know pong is as good as it was 30 years ago, u weren't even alive yet

  • interesting choices. :)

  • Kid, you sound like your 14-15 maybe, your acting like your 40 and you remember these games from the "good ol days"

  • @TitaniumTyrant Yhea, I was 14 when I made this one.

  • @TitaniumTyrant

Breh, you're not one to be calling anybody else kid.

  • @chortiz11 at least im not acting like im 40. chill the fuck out homo, problem officer newfag failtrain dick holmes?

  • @TitaniumTyrant He's from Mars their year is twice as long then ours. So he was 28 Earth years old when he made this video :)

  • @logitechnc Yhea... what he said.

  • Other great ones, Stargate, Solar Fox, Frogger, Adventure, Pheonix, Popeye, Super Breakout, Tron Deadly Disks, The Empire Strikes Back

  • In my opinion this kid is way off, but I only grew up with the system and had almost 200 games so what do I know. Here's my favs in no perticual order. Pitfall II Berzerk Enduro Indy 500 River Raid Demon Attack Pitfall Decathlon Chopper Command Super Cobra
  • Pitfall... 2!

  • @frigginjoe O... K

  • @TheGamerFromMars Well I say Pitfall 2, since you rank Pitfall so high, with good reason and Pitfall 2 has some very innovative elements for its time. A check point system,a huge, scrolling playfield, multichannel background music with dynamic tempo, swimming and I almost wanna say mini-quest overall. Probably the most advanced Atari 2600 cart made, and it does Pitfall 1's landmark status justice as a sequel, bringing just as many new elements, even if it wasn't as popular.

    Anyway great vid.

  • @purplesclurosis Yhea, I'm in. This new one sucks.

  • Some things. 1. Atari Climber was not an actual 2600 game, Crazy Climber was. Atari Climber is basically just like Fast Eddie, which was actually released, you should check it out! 2. Secret Quest was made AFTER The Legend of Zelda to try to compete. 3. Fatal Run was not released in the US, worth mentioning that, but it was released in Europe.

  • Wait how old are you?

  • @Orangebike666 I was 14 when I did this video.

  • @TheGamerFromMars wow who got you interested?

  • @Orangebike666 IDK, Just got up one day and decided I wanted to make reviews on old games.

  • @TheGamerFromMars Cool. I mean I am in my 20's and these are way before my time. Good Stuff

  • i used to have outlaw when i had a 2600 about 10 years ago

  • Does anyone know where I can find a rom for "Pong"?

  • No Pac-Man?

  • @kpernod30 I really hope your joking.

  • @TheGamerFromMars

    lol, yeah I was. :-)

  • @TheGamerFromMars

    Yuck so do I!

  • @kpernod30 OH WOW you don't know that it was that and et that made the video game crash? -_-

  • Pretty close to the views... my BFF JILL!

  • PITFALL! big time best game ever, played it for hours and hours

  • where is surround??? =p

  • I think Berserk should have been there. It was a great game. So was Space invaders.

  • umm ur voice is so unnatural

  • Secret quest was unbeatable for me!

I made it once to the fourth stage but i ran out of oxygen before i could say fuck

  • Why you not give us the adress to download the Homebrew Roms?

  • How about mario their still making games today, and donkey kong, andseveral versions of space invaders, but other than that one little messup of imformation this actually was very helpfull to increase my atari 2600 collection, and secreat quest looks like a great game, do you have any ideas where I may find a cheap copy of it?

  • @ST0PM0SS Mario and Space Invader where arcade games remade for the Atari 2600 but pitfall was made first for the Atari 2600. If you want cheap atari 2600 games go to amazon or ebay.

  • @gamerfrommars how old are you ? seriously..... if you are under 25, then very well done

  • Give Solaris a shot :) as that game is my number one single player game on the Atari 2600

  • Were did you get that atari 2600 pong game rom ?

  • @djkarmainfinite I got an Atari 2600 that was preloaded with 100 games, so not all the games have been realeased.

  • Quality review and great top 10 list..good job and rational for your selections

  • BEFORE The Legend of Zelda? This game was made in 1989, 3 years after Legend of Zelda on NES.

The Legend of Zelda came out in February 1986 in Japan, and in 1987 in the US, and then just a few months after, still in 1987, in Europe.

All tree realeses came long before Secret Quest, but it is a great game, a game I still play alot.

  • My Bad. Thanks for pointing that out.

  • i only agree with battlezone and pitfall on the list. you obviously havent played burgertime, haunted house, frogger, double dragon, astroblast, vanguard, or pac-man jr.

  • thanks i just got an atari 2600 and needed advice on games (ps i subed)
