When I was younger in school, I was an A & B student except for math. I would always get a C in math and usually just. I would constantly get problems wrong, not because I didn't know how to solve them, but I would misread the numbers. It was such a hard thing for me to get over.
@nexus1g you know, dyscalculia is a real thing, just like dyslexia. your brain doesn't sort the symbols out properly. this can be either temporarily induced because of fear and stress, or more chronically because of wiring problems. the thing is it has nothing to do with your intelligence or ability to think. it's just the visual signal getting jumbled.
@vortexprof I always wondered if it were a form of dyslexia. It made sense that it would affect numbers and not just letters, but I wasn't sure if it really existed. Thanks for the info.
I always think the test is tricking me when really its an easy answer which frustrates me! i start sweating and i nearly rip up the paper lmao then my mind goes blank haha isuckatmaths.
This is EXACTLY the problem I have when studying programming. And studying anything at all basically. I get anxious, stressed and can't focus at all.
