My 81 year old granny had me playin this song over and over and over again on Christmas...she said the last time she heard this song was at her daddy funeral 72 years ago...thank you for uploadin this

There are a LOT of inspirational messages from Bishop T.D Jakes, Bishop Noel Jones, Dr. Jamal Bryant, as well as complete episodes of my favorite TV shows like "TV One's Unsung", "I hate Chris" etc....You'll also find videos of my favorite music artist's like Marvin Gaye, Enchantment, Al Green & Gospel Music !
This is brilliant on many levels. Sallie Martin helped invent "gospel" singing. Her singing -- the whoops and runs -- was considered wild, unconventional. Dorsey was wary of her at first but overcame his doubts and let her popularize his songs.
Thank goodness he did. From Sallie you can draw a direct line to Clara Ward & Marion Williams, and thus to Little Richard and Aretha Franklin, and thus to nearly every rock and pop and soul singer ever. Priceless stuff here!
i remember when gospel did sound like this and it is what made me want to sing... i feel this music running threough my soul..... while today's music just sound catchy... i'd rather have song like this to guide my soul to the alter
I bought this on a UK 45 EP in 1962! 4 great trackes and a nice pic of AB in his robes on the sleeve. AB came over to the UK in about 1963 with his Black Nativity show, Madeline Bell was in his choir and eventually stayed and settled in the UK
I truly love this song. It brings back memories when the saints use to sing it in Church. We would have a shouting time by the time they finished singing. It carries a message within itself. It can't be beat.
Masterpiece! Sallie is just sensational. The song was composed by her adopted daughter, Cora Martin, who made super records with The Sallie Martin Singers and on her own. Charles Campbell, Sallie's pal from The First Church of Deliverance, rules that background. Bradford's piano is a grinding wonder.
