no, it's blues...

more specificly, this type of blues is known as "Chicago Blues" There are some blues types that might sound a bit like country (Delta Blues...) but this electric, raw, cool sounding stuff is a whole different thing.

The Hound Dog Taylor song is great. I have been listening to it for 25 years or so. I first started listening to Hound Dog in 1979, and I own everything by Hound Dog ever relesed.

But the blackface is at best unfortunate. African-Americans consider blackface offensive. I doubt that you intend to send such a message.
