  • RIP Brett, he was my best friend. I miss him still to this day. It still hurts knowing that everything could have been prevented if the ski resort had done their job.

    I miss you Brett <3

  • what trail or section of the mountain was this located?

  • brett was one of my best friends back in elementary school.he was such a positive kid that everyone loved and i'm glad i was able to know him.i wish i could have made it to your bday party the year you moved away man.you'll forever be in our hearts brett. rest in paradise bro

  • Quite sad.

I used to live there, that's quite odd for that much snow. We used to semi-truck inner tube down those slopes through the tress, not sitting mind you, only laying down to steer. Those who sat on them, went to the hospital by helicopter.

The only deaths usually were going overspeed down the mountain off the curves to the bottom in their cars.

  • He was my friends cousin and my moms realators son. I kind of knew him. His parents were devistated. :(

  • he got knocked of the ski lift R.I.P Brett

  • Yes, they found him about 12 hrs after the avalanche buried under 10 ft of snow.

this entire avalanche would have been prevented if the mt charelston ski resort would have done what is required for safety tests that morning.

  • Thank you for posting this...Brett was a close friend of mine. RIP

  • so he died? u guys find his body?
