  • wow you handle the recoil well, you run your own reloads?

  • Yes I do.

    Jeff

  • I just got my FNP 45 today. Mounted a Stream Light 2 on the rail, then dialed in the red dot. With in ten rounds it was hitting a water bottle at 15yards every time the trigger was pulled. The FNP ate all types of ammo loaded. NO FALURE TO FEED whether 230gr ball or modern hollow point. This is a great tool for Home protection, or just a long day at the range. Great shooter don't think twice about buying it.

  • Softest .45 I've ever shot...

  • Thanks for posting this. I have an FNP-45 and absolutely love it! Solid build quality, easy take down and very mild recoil for a .45!

  • @AZGunEnthusiast You're right.

  • jeff..i bought me a fnp 9mm...300 rds not one problem...a great accurate shooter...more people should know about these guns imo....p.s. my boy shot this gun first time he ever shot a handgun .....and he had amazing results lots of hits and some were double taps and rapid fire and hes 14 lol...to me this speaks to the inherent instinctive accuracy that this weapon possesses

  • you handled that weapon like it was a 9mm.

  • Santa...I wanna this for xmas!

  • Im doubting between the new FNP 45 Tactical (with rmr reddot) or the new HK45.

what would be the best choice?

  • Both are very good weapons, but I prefer the FN.

    Jeff

  • @dirites I have the FN and it is a very nice weapon. It fires nice. Easy takedown for cleaning etc. I especially like the ambidextrous controls on this weapon. I would recommend this one although both are very good and reliable weapons.

  • @dirites Not only are HK handguns butt-ass ugly with terrible ergonomics and of questionable quality and reliability, but the company itself despises civilian gun-owners. There have been numerous examples to substantiate this claim, just look online. I wouldn't give them a penny. Besides, for almost 60 years, ever since the FAL vs. G3 days, FNH has always been exponentially better than HK. FNH all the way, baby!

  • @rollingthunder1400cc Why do you say H&K despises civilian gun owners?

  • Looking at a Sig P220, how does the FNP 45 compare?

  • Looking at a Sig P220, how does the FNP 45 compare?

  • Both are excellent weapons, but different ergonomics.

    Jeff

  • @ATAllen318 The sig is going to be thiner than the FNP, but you trade out fire power over the sig with 15+1 or 14+1 with the FNP. That's a lot of heat. I've owned the sig, great gun, but with the FNP USG you can carry it cocked and locked which I really like. FNP is chunky and hard to conceal unless in a shoulder holster. Be safe.

  • Looking at a Sig P220, how does the FNP 45 compare?

  • I want this gun!!!

  • My little brother Boge has a brand-new black one he's looking to sell - email him at boge-at-gunblast-dot-com.

  • this gun rules. but so does FN. i like this gun as much as my usp. just as reliable, built as good, just as accurate and easy to control. for the money, this gun is one of the few things in these shitty times that you actually get more than what you bargain for.

  • I'm stuck between this and a 1911. I like the 1911 because it's "Point it and you're probably on target". Does this gun feel the same way?

  • Even with the 1911, it depends upon your hand and the way you hold a pistol. It is different for each person.

    Jeff

  • How much more muzzle flip does this have as compared to the M&P 45?

  • I can't tell any difference.

    Jeff

  • mistabiggz16 you trollin' noone cares if your a eurofag

i plan on buying a fnp .45 for my 21st only thing i cant decide is the finish. has anyone heard of FTF problems with this gun and which brands of ammo work best with this gun.

  • This is simply one of the best .45ACP pistols I have ever fired. Accurate, great trigger pull, handles well and the ammunition capacity is gigantic (14+1 rounds in .45ACP!)

Made by the company that makes the US Military's machine guns. I recommend this gun. I love it.

  • You kiss your mother with that tongue? Oh, wait, you might actually. Well for starters you made a public comment on a public video on a public website. If you wanted a private conversation, learn to message people. 2nd, actually no, my father did not teach me that. A little hard when your parents divorce when you're 2 & he dies before you ever get to know him. But you do have great tact with your language skills. Didn't your mom ever teach you to use polite language?

  • What is your point? FNH-USA is owned by FNH. It is part of the larger corporation. The FNP .45 is made in the USA. Winchester firearms are branded with the Winchester name, and it too is a division of FNH. So is Browning. A gun maker can brand their products any way that they like. Browning has sold FNH products in the US for around 100 years, and they have always been branded Browning. Again, what is your point?

    Jeff

  • My point is For a gun to be a good one it doesn't HAVE to be made in the US Like so many of us Americans think..... Some of the worlds very BEST gun manufacturers are European.

  • You are correct. The rest of the world makes some very good guns. However, the FNP is made in the United States, and is a very good weapon.

    Jeff

  • @Gunblastdotcom jeff would you say thisgun is larger overall in terms of feel as a usp 45

  • I would not.

    Jeff

  • I like the double standard. If Jeff had come on talking about the HK45 & that its a German made, pretty good pistol, I doubt you would come back with a retort going "A gun doesn't HAVE to be made in Germany for it to be a good gun like so many foot in mouth people think... some of the BEST guns are made in America." Really, he basically said made in America in passing & just said it was a pretty good gun. Didn't come out bashing Europe, eastern block or Israel about gun making. Tnx 4 trolling!

  • @mistabiggz16 I think you need to take a step back and look at all of Jeff's Videos he does all sorts or guns, rifles that aren't made in the USA. Do your research and then come back.

  • I bought this over the summer, out of the box one of the most accurate 45's i have ever fired.

  • @emeraldstudio hows reliability been?

  • @arkee71 This pistol is unbelievably accurate. I have put over 2000 rounds through mine, and have not had one single problem whatsoever.

  • @killchain187 ty i really appreciate that...cause im prolly gettin one any other info you have would be helpful tx again!

  • I"m drooling over this .45... it's fully 'left handed', as I like to call ambidextrous.. even more than my Bersa thunder 9, which doesn't have the slide release on the right side of the gun.. I handled it in the shop last week, the grips have some really SHARP checkering on 'em.. but the controls are great and it fits my hand well... can't wait to rent one down at the range and try 'er out.. wife was askin me about Christmas present the other day :-))

  • plus I really prefer the old hammer and flip safety, rather than strikers and scissor triggers... just about any goofball tangle of fingers or keys or chapstick or whatever can pull that scissor trigger... I prefer to know the gun is fully safed and cannot fire.. :-)

  • What can of ammo is this ? , i like how ejects the brass to the side , not like the fnp9 when you have the brass right at you. please anybody can help ?

  • my fnp has varied in the direction of brass ejection. most to the right a few feet, some land on top of my head.

  • I just bought this and cant wait to get to the range! Keep coming with the reviews.

  • nice.

  • Not to crazy about all the ambi stuff. I like my guns like my VCR remotes, the less buttons the better. Nice vid just the same.

  • hahaha

i never thought of it like that before

  • I like ambi controls, because that way if I get shot in my dominant arm I can still use my other one.

  • Nice vid. Maybe another one with more range time, different ammo brands, etc. I purchased one of these about 6 months ago and it does surprisingly well with regular old Winchester FMJ. Anyone else have an FNP with a specific ammo preference, particularly in a self-defense type round... Hydrashok, frangible or the like?

  • How is the gun overall? Any problems with it? Whats the price range for it because ive been thinking about getting one myself...oh and your beard is badass haha!!

  • Very good weapon. A bit large for pocket carry, but an excellent choice for a holster gun. Prices vary from dealer to dealer, so call around to all in your area to get the best deal. You should be able to fins one for around $600.

    Jeff

  • Thanks Jeff for the fast response! My buddy works at a gun dealer,i'll have to talk to him about it,just wanted to see how you felt about the gun, thanks alot!

  • when i get ack from the middle east i'm going to get a pistol. either the FNP 45 or the S&W MP 45. which do you recommend.

  • Hard choice. I like both, and both are American made. Try to handle each one, to see what you like the best. Either way, you can't go wrong.

    Jeff

  • i know that the FN is rated to fire +p ammo. What about the Smith? lol i have handled both of them and i like both of them....the fnp 45 duty holsters are rare though.

  • Yes, both can shoot Plus P ammo.

    Jeff

  • The FNP 45 does seem a bit big for me. I'm wondering if the MP 45 compact might be better for my smaller hands.

  • I dont know if you ever got the answer to your question I own one let me know if you have any questions.

  • who makes holsters for it. i've looked at black hawk safariland etc and they dont list he pistol. i'm talking about duty holsters.

  • Bladetech makes all holsters for FN. I got mine from bass pro our you can contact FN and they will ship you a shooters pack with holster and dual mag holder.

  • Thank you for answering my question and thank you for your advice. You are the third person with an FNP-45 on Yutube that I have asked and you are the only one to respond.

    Thank you

  • nbenicewicz,

Ideally, you should own both! Given the choice of one or the other, I'd go with the FNP.

    Jeff Quinn

  • I'm thinking about getting one of those for myself, do you think it would be worth while to trade in my Glock 21 for it?

Give me your thoughts on it.

    Great video
