  • Don't use half n half. Use Coffee Mate Hazelnut creamer. You're welcome.

  • "Qu'ils mangent brioche." - Marie Antoinette. Now if the peasants had some eggs and dairy, they'd have been too busy eating French toast to touch off the revolution!

  • YHEA TOAST!

  • I don't like marmalade either. All that grittiness in jelly is something I find nasty. But I understand other people like it. De gustibus non desputandum est.

  • ...This is directing me towards a musician called 'Modern', who's playing locally. I'm sure that's exactly what the title of the video is referring to!

  • like the slippers?

  • HEY! My free roaming egg got away.

  • "Hey, can I have a little piece of that?"

    :slap:

"Oookay, I'll go make my own."

  • Cooking is so simple, as long as you follow one simple yet very very important rule. You let Alton Brown do the cooking.

  • Wait... He said in the sandwich show that sliced bread is bad :O

  • @Pokefan186 Good catch. But you will notice he brings it up again in this episode, 6:50. He doesn't discourage normal sliced bread at the very beginning because he is focusing on toasters, most of which are made with sliced bread and bagels in mind. My experience is that most of the good breads won't fit completely in a toaster.

  • "ahhhh look at the time, i'm tired, you don't mind cleaning up do ya? great. goodnight."

  • lol "Soak the whole thing in scotch." ><

  • Piggy slippers ftw!

  • 8 hours. Minimum. I mean it! Now come on!

    Stern AB makes me wet.

  • unf alton brown. fuck me please. and then make me some french toast.

  • Roaming eggs. <3

  • Also (this may be gross to you but) did you know that toast is one of the easiest foods to digest?

  • the only thing "ever" the French did right >> French Toast

  • did anyone else notice that he bought honey then used a different kind?

  • "It says free roaming so Im gonna keep the lid on just in case they go some place"

    Bad dum crash.

  • A counter full of toasters. :O 2:40

  • I wanna be like the french dude when I'm that old

  • Criticise his pronunciation if you like; he is from the South, after all. Just remember this: The French toast recipe kicks ass.

  • i want his extent-o-fork

  • Between LikeTheHat, Khadghar, and GoodETV, what makes you so damn special?

  • he said one of the breads wrong

  • which one?

  • toast is an overlooked food topic.

  • I love his pointer fork

  • Thank you thank you thank you! I saw this on t.v. and i forgot what he used to make the custard. THX!!

  • maillard reactions involve starches and proteins not just starches. just starches and that would be caramelization.

  • did he say he doesnt much like marmalade but in season 11 or 12 in the orange ep he says he loves it....

  • One must remember that humans gain a new set of taste buds every seven years or so. This is one of the reasons why adults can enjoy bitter flavors, whereas children do not. It's also why you (or Alton) might find yourself suddenly enjoying a food you used to hate. A good reason to try various foods every few years.

  • actually we get new taste buds every days.....sorry, medical fact. avaliable for you to look up online

  • yes we gain new taste buds and every other cell all the time, but a complete switch, takes much longer. Also I saw an earlier episode from season one or two in which he states he likes marmalade, so he was either referring to marmalade on toast or simply trying to make better TV.

  • oh i dont recall this at all!!!

  • Haha. I never caught that. Was it on toast on that epsiode as well?

  • I LOVE TOAST!!!!!!

  • What a world we live in. We purposely dry out our bread xD

  • I'm from England and I have never heard of French Toast called ''Poor knights of Windsor''. Strange name.

  • is my video the only one that has an out of sync audio file?

  • i dont like marmalde also

  • these say "free roaming" so im gonna keep the lid on just in case they go some place

    hahaha AB

  • If you think about it if AB had every meal "His Way" he might become obese.

  • Nite, as of "Orange Aid", he likes marmalade.

  • anyone know where i can get a toaster oven like that? ive been searching infared toaster ovens and only get 1 result which is infared but i like the looks of AB's more

  • "hey, can i have just a little bite of that?"

    gets his hand slapped

"ok, i'll go make my own."

  • Thank you LTH. Good job !!

  • o.o The secret to french toast is stale bread. wow i seriously wouldn't have thought that what it was. Now that he pointed it out it makes a lot of sense. stale bread... Alton you just made french toast like ten times easier for me.

  • can we have some constructive comments

  • WOW that's a lot of toaster lawl

  • in 1930 the Continental Baking Company invented sliced bread.. the greatest thing since itself. lol

  • irondeadpool.

    shame for the yum oh..

    wow.. really pathetic.

  • "These say 'Free Roaming', so I'm going to keep the lid on just in case."

    Simply amazing. Thanks again LTH!

  • This is my favorite out of all the current episodes LTH has posted so far!!!!

  • toast+peanut butter = yum oh and alot of milk needed

  • I am a toast fiend. Thank you AB, you brighten my life! ^^

  • I'm gonna keep the lid on in case they go somewhere....lol!

  • we all have stereotypes get over yourself not all Americans are fat and lazy.

  • we're not!:o

  • Then everyone over here in america; from the mobsters of the NYC to the poofs in LA hopes you DIE.

  • Don't forget us cheesesteak-slobbering italian-speaking thug idiots in Philadelphia! Bond's just pissed we do "yorkshire pudding" better under the name Biscuits and Gravy.

  • its called french toast but it use to have a more sophisticated name but it got dumbed down over the years because of mispronunciation.....you call americans ignorant?

  • I don't think there was anything in that mug of his... why don't TV people ever put liquids into mugs or glasses or coffee cups to make it more realistic?... I have always wondered....

  • Probably because if they take a sip, and they struggle to swallow it can mess up the lines and they have to do a retake. That is just a guess though.

  • What?

  • Don't feed the troll, fingers. This guy's been posting dumb shit on all of the episodes hoping to get a rise outta someone.

  • ru talking about LTH u son of a bitch

  • I think I caught a glimps of glare off of the black coffee just before 10:18

  • I saw it too He DOES have coffee in the cup but its shallow enough so he doesnt actully SWALLOW any

  • When you sip on something in a take, you have to do it over and over and over until the director says it is perfect. I assume it's the same here.

  • It's amazing how many people have opinions on toast

  • Are there two episodes when he makes French toast?

  • He makes it in the middle of the night in one episode.

  • And that episode looks like this one...

  • Isn't that when he makes grilled cheese??????

  • i do believe it was grilled cheese in his cheese episode

  • Oh. I'm gunna need to re-watch this, because I'm pretty sure he did this twice, or at least talked about it before. Maybe it was in the Sandwich episode.

  • lol 10:05-10:08. I like his piggy slippers.

  • I never cook. but I love this show.

    thx for the upload.

  • same
