Well, they have to go through the spurs first and the series is not over yet so no they are not the team of the present yet. Actually, parker has a better penetration against the lakers. You probably didn't watch the spurs and hornets series. Every time parker penetrated, he got blocked. So he and duncan are doing better in the lakers series but the ones that have to step up their game is ginobili and the bench. If they can do that, then the spurs can win the series. Well when the Hornets played at home, games 1, 2 and 5, they defended the paint area very well so they didn't let parker penetrate and when he penetrated, sometimes he'll score but he got blocked most of the times. With the addition of Pau Gasol, the lakers were 22-5 in the regular season. That means that he was a major factor why they are where they are. In the other hand, Chris Paul took his team to the playoffs in second place and had the same team in the entire season but they only acquire Bonzi Wells, an average player.
as you may remember, before pau arrived the lakers were first in the west with kobe and bynum. then bynum got injured and pau has come to replace him. then gasol got injured for 2 weeks, still lakers stayed in the race for no.1 spot. however, the hornets didnt have that problem. west, chandler and stojakovic played whole year with paul and he was great I give him that, but Kobe has managed to get the team who were battling injuries all season long to no.1 spot and thats why he deserves it more

Alright, let's analyze things. The lakers beat utah in 6 games, which in the last two games it could have gone either way but utah wasn't able to get the job done. Last year, the spurs defeated utah in 5 games in which utah didn't have a chance to win in any of those games that they lost. The spurs and the lakers split two games this season in which the games that the lakers won, in one of them tim duncan and tony parker were injured and the other game ginobili was injured. Spurs in 5 games.

The lakers hasn't won a championship since shaq left. The lakers oponents are averaging 105 points per game in the playoffs. So where's their defense? I told u that u were gonna win game 1. But that was just a fixed game. Why would Bruce Bowen sit for the rest of the third quarter when Kobe is catching fire? Gasol hit it out of bounds when Duncan had the ball and they said it was out on Duncan. Ginobili was grabbed when he was going for that rebound and they didn't make the call. A lot of times the spurs got fouled and they didn't call it and they were giving all the calls, even the sissy fouls, to the lakers. A fixed game, that's all.

How can u not see it? It's not only this game. I'm talking about every home game since the semifinals, they are giving the home team all the calls just to take the series to 7 games. I have watched every game there is in the playoffs and as a real NBA fan, NBA it's not what it used to be. Wake up and live in the reality. If the celtics and the lakers go to the NBA finals, then it was fixed just to make it a classic matchup. We'll wait and see what happens.

Because I'm still a fan of the NBA. I'm just waiting to see who goes to the NBA Finals. But I'll tell u what though. If the celtics and the lakers go to the nba finals, then I won't watch NBA anymore. And I said semifinals, not first round so I don't know why u bring up the Nuggets. They did win it in less than 7, utah had a bad game in game 6 and the pistons were just too much for the magic. But the refs still gave all the calls to the home teams and I even include the spurs.

Scared? There's no doubt that the spurs are way better than the lakers. And how can u expect them to sleep in a hotel when they arrived to LA on Tuesday morning at 9am? Get the story right bro. And I believe that even though they were restless, they almost beat la. We'll see the rest of the series how it goes. I underestimated the lakers. They are playing great. Don't get carried away. As u know, the hornets beat the spurs in games 1, 2 and 5 by 20+ points and the spurs found a way to win the series so it's not over until it's over. We'll see how the spurs play at home. I'll say that this is the spurs last chance to win a championship because they are getting older and they are not as dominant as they used to be. The spurs are the team of the present and the lakers are the team of the future.

Well, they have to go through the spurs first and the series is not over yet so no they are not the team of the present yet. Actually, parker has a better penetration against the lakers. You probably didn't watch the spurs and hornets series. Every time parker penetrated, he got blocked. So he and duncan are doing better in the lakers series but the ones that have to step up their game is ginobili and the bench. If they can do that, then the spurs can win the series. We'll see what happens

Well when the Hornets played at home, games 1, 2 and 5, they defended the paint area very well so they didn't let parker penetrate and when he penetrated, sometimes he'll score but he got blocked most of the times. Most of his points came from jump shots. Have u always been a lakers fan or u started being a lakers fan this season because they got pau gasol?

Steve Nash is great, he makes his team mates better and he can score also. I mean: Kobe is MVP but CP3 is going against the defending champions, if NO wins that series CP3 would have more chances to get MVP, if L.A and NO meet in the conference finals, the winner is the MVP, then you have a different MVP in the finals, the one that carries his team to be champion. Well...I must admit this is the greatest player that I have WITNESSED, I am only 19 and I have never really been a Michael Jordan fan. Kobe has an offensive arsenal that cant be compared to any other player. CP3 have to be the MVP, Kobe has done a very good job we can't hide that fact. The true is, Lakers are in the top because they have a better team now, they work as a team. If the Lakers this year don't get far in the playoffs, with the adittion of a healthy Bynum next year they can be a top team and Kobe can be mvp. There are no more excuses for him, Jordan made Pippen, Kukoc and others be better players to win championships, now Kobe have to do the same to really be compared to MJ.

Well Kobe Bryant won the MVP award this year so congratulations for him. Now, the lakers have to put the addition of Pau Gasol to the test with the Utah Jazz. Sure, the lakers won the first two games. But utah is a strong team to beat at home. If the lakers lose at home, just once, jazz will win the series. Because prior to colorado he's the most hated player in the league. he had an mvp season in 2002/03 when he carried his team to win pacific division despite shaq's injury but they gave it to duncan. the second one was 2 years ago when he carried one of the worst franchise nba in history to the playoffs, still havent got his due cuz his team hasnt been able to win more then 50 games in ultra competitive west. we'll see what they will use as an excuse not got give him award this year

Oh no, not me. I don't hate him at all. I know this year, he has been incredible for his team and he even got the team in first place. But u also have to see why they are first. With the addition of Pau Gasol, the lakers were 22-5 in the regular season. That means that he was a major factor why they are where they are. In the other hand, Chris Paul took his team to the playoffs in second place and had the same team in the entire season but they only acquire Bonzi Wells, an average player.

as you may remember, before pau arrived the lakers were first in the west with kobe and bynum. then bynum got injured and pau has come to replace him. then gasol got injured for 2 weeks, still lakers stayed in the race for no.1 spot. however, the hornets didnt have that problem. west, chandler and stojakovic played whole year with paul and he was great I give him that, but Kobe has managed to get the team who were battling injuries all season long to no.1 spot and thats why he deserves it more

And one thing that Kobe has failed to do is to have self-discipline. He leads the NBA in technical fouls with 15. If he wouldn't have so many technical fouls, I'll give him the MVP award.
