anyone know how to fix the lag on the tv? my xbox lags a bit when i play call of duty and im wondering how to fix it. I have the 720p version and for some reason it lags a bit while im playing. there is no dcm option or motion option in the video settings, should i buy an hdmi cable? will that remedy the lag?
@tomcat8492 the rez of your image depends on the signal going into the tv. For example, if you are using a HDMI digital cable converter, then you will automatically receive a HD signal on a HD channel. If the channel is not HD it will be of a lower rez, i.e. 480p. Check your inputs to see if the TV is on a HD input. If it is and you are not getting 1080p through the cable box, then call your cable company and they can talk you through fixing it.
I am buying this tomorrow for $349.99 at best buy. This seems to be about exactly the same. Is this 60Hz? This is what im getting, i was just wondering if it was the exact same thing as yours.
For those of you who are about to get this tv you will feel like the fps game is lagging or slower than it should be. You get used to it after like a day or few hours. Gears of war felt very slow on this tv but the next day it felt normal again.
@Legitkill3r1 What people tell me... I would have to say not really... the processor might not be fast enough. But for watch TV and blueray/dvd then yes...good sound and picture.
I think I'm going to get the Insignia® - 32" Class / 720p / 60Hz / LCD HDTV model. Do you think this is good enough for casual gaming on a PS3? Or should I get HDMI cables and upscaler for 1080p?
I personally don't have a game system, but what I understand is that it's not too bad for gaming through HDMI ports. So yes, get the cable... but you don't really need anything too expensive. One of those $100 monster cables are a waste of money.
@yoBEENLY i got the 720p tv that your thinkin about getting..and i DO LOVE IT..but im jus gonna return it and spend another 50 bucks to upgrade to a 1080P..and on the 720p...gaming is awesome..i mean modern warfare 2 in high def...AMAZING!!! lol
@bushwaa1 no mine does not lag,but i got the 1080p and 120 hz version..but by reading your last comment..yeah go try a HDMI cable..it might help because you dont have the dcm option..what about on your remote as well..does it show a button that labeled "game"?..and what type of connecters are you using right now?..composite or component?
@luckyranadey775 right now im just using the component cables, im wondering if the hdmi might fix the delay since the xbox is most likely running in 480p on a 720p tv which might cause a bit of lag, so you recommend getting the hdmi cables then? would it fix the annoying delay?
@bushwaa1 yeah thats definitaly worth a shot..and no need to get some super expensive hdmi cables..just get something simple to see if it helps out the lag..good luck with everything..hope it works out great for you :)
I love my TV. The image is clear with good colour and and sound. I've not had an issue with it the the 7 months that I've had it. $400 is a good deal.
xbox 360 does not support 120hz. I have a Sony Bravia 120hz and I can not play 360 on it because it has some lag and I end up sniped right in the head on GOW when I play on that tv. You need to have a tv with 60hz motion. I also did try putting the setting to 60hz on the Sony and no luck but that is the tv.
I got this exact tv yesterday and when I play my xbox 360 on it, I get input lag to where it's unplayable. I'm sure you've tried games on it, how did you get it to work? I'm using component btw
Actually I haven't. I use mine for digital cable and blueray. I've even hooked my laptop to it and it seems fine. This is only a 60 hz TV. Some gaming systems work better on a 120 hz TV.
i got this exact one from bestbuy and the only issue im having is the response time with my xbox360 my ps3 works fine but the xbox360 is makin it hard to play first person shooters does anyone know a fix for this? i only have composite cables but my hdmi cables come in a week
I think that the HDMI cables will make a difference. However this TV is only rated at 60 HZ which is fine for TV and blueray. I'm unsure if the lower frequency has an influence on gaming systems. I suspect that it does.
If your system is 120 HZ and you have a HDMI cable, I'm not sure why there would be a delay. Maybe someone else may have an answer. I would have a look in some of the HD TV forums. It could be that you have a bad TV.
This 32-inch 1080p LCD from Insignia, Best Buy's house brand, offers excellent overall picture quality, and is very low priced, especially for a 1080p set. Its viewing angle, though, is narrower than most.
Excellent HD and standard-definition picture quality. It was very good at displaying fine details in top-quality HD content, just shy of the best sets. Color accuracy was excellent. Contrast was good, typical for most models we've tested. Brightness level was good, suitable for most rooms. Very good black levels -- deep, just shy of the best sets. Excellent, smooth reproduction of scenes with subtly shaded light-to-dark areas, such as a sky during sunset.
Very good film-mode operation (3:2 pulldown) effectively minimized jagged edges -- "jaggies" -- on our 1080i HD movie content; for 480i SD movie content, it was excellent. Our 1080i HD video clip with motion detail (de-interlacing test) looked very good with just a hint of visible jaggies. Sound was good, fine for typical TV programming. Remote has dedicated buttons for selecting each video source (Video1, Video2, etc.). Has in-home warranty service, unusual for models this size.
Black levels had a slight reddish tint. Our 480i SD video clip with motion detail (de-interlacing test) was flawed by clearly visible jaggies. Viewing angle was somewhat limited -- the picture lost some color, contrast, or brightness as we moved off from dead center. Lacks USB port, separate RGB level adjustments, and multimedia slide-show.
Final grade: 69%
Personal tip: GET THE WARRANTY, no matter the brand! My Sony lcd only lasted 14 months. Now it's gathering dust and useless!
hey dude, 1st please allow me to congratulate you on a great video, damn, the mellow music almost made me cry, lol, anyways i've got an LG 47 in my living room, but i need a 32 for my computer desk, let me ask you, have you tried the pc input as yet?, i'm thinking of getting this very same insignia for xmas..holla.
Thanks for the comment. I appreciate it. As for your questions, yeah I've connected my gateway (see my Windows 7 vid) to it and it looked perfect. I really can't say that there is anything that don't like about the Insignia. Have a good one...
I'm thinking about getting this TV for christmass but i read that some people notice blurring when playing games? I would not hook it up to cable i would only use it in my room for my xbox and movies. Do you notice any blur?
Unfortunately I don't have a gaming system on my TV; just a video system, so I really can't say. However, my digital cable and blueray looks perfect if that's any help.
Considering the low cost, it's a fine TV. It's easy to hook up, and has all the bells and whistles that more expensive TVs have. The digital processor could be a bit faster. I'd give it a 7 or 8 out of 10.
well i have 2 insignia tv's both 720p i have a 37'' and a 32'' and both work very well the color is very good .. my 37'' i had for a lil over a year and the it still works very well.... very good quality tv's... my 32'' that i just bought today has a built in dvd player.if you are going to buy a tv i suggest go to best buy because you can get the 4 year warranty for like 70 bucks!!
yes but do you understand how the warenth works if the tv breaks you cant tak it back to theme you have to call the makers of the tv soread your warrenty i dont by my hdtvs from best buy
Wow, I thought this video would be a raw uncut video done by some child, to my surprise the video is pretty sweet. Anyways, How is the TV? Does it work well with gaming systems?

Clear, bright, vivid colours and excellent contrast, Id bet you wouldnt be disappointed if you had a system attached.
The room where I have my TV in is only about 12"x12". I find that this 32" LCD is the perfect size for it. To tell you the truth, I wouldn't want it on the wall ether. Better to have it on a stand because of all the wires.
I was just wondering, is it good? .. The quality? .. because usually 1080p 32" cost around 1,000 so I was thinking this one might not be so good! So is it good?
Currently, I have it hooked up to normal analogue cable TV and I'm actually surprised how good the picture looks even with that. Tomorrow, the cable guy is installing my HD box. If the quality on analogue is this good, HD must be spectacular. It's easy to hook up and is cheap. I paid $500 (Canadian) which was regular price. My advice is to go for it. For that price, you can't go wrong.
I recently picked up a DVD player that upscales my DVDs to 1080p quality. They look great on this TV. I'm very pleased with it. Was going to buy a blueray that would do the same thing, but the dvd player was only 1/3 the price and has a USB port that I can use to play downloaded movies via a USB stick.
