  • My God,what a voice i always love sam&dave but in the years he is stil great!!

    thanks for sharing,

  • no man has ever been hurt by a woman that badly. except for sam.

  • what a band, what a song, what a singer, what a groove!

  • Sam & and old girlfriend use to babysit my mother, one of the daughters of Hank Ballard of Hank 'Ballard & the Midnighters (My grandfather).

  • @vonisha

    that is awesome!!

  • Best minimalist saxophone solo ever!

  • Lest not forget that Stax is one of Elvis's major influences - especially Booker T. and the M.G.s! :-)

  • I heard this on the radio & couldn't believe it - always thought it was an Elvis original. Just like you, Danny, I was finally able to get all the words. "Simple as love is - how it confused me." Great

  • Wow what a version....where have I've been...listened to Elvis for over 30 years and just discovered the words and Sam Moore enuff said. This was singing...Sintara, Darin, Presley, etc.

  • I would like to see or HEAR Sam and Dave cover Elvis Costello. I'm sure it would be smashing.

  • Damn that's killer....great song, great singer

  • Listen to that voice. Full, rich, layered, man they don't sing like this no mo'. Long live Same Moore and long live soul music.

  • BISCUITS

  • Damn. He's still got it.

  • my name is Sam Moore too

  • Amazing,simply amazing.

  • Special sound, love it thanks

  • Whoops, Reedyredd, you are correct. EC did make it sound like his own, which is an acheevement as well.

  • thats pure soul even for an old guy, superb

  • The best version of this that I have ever heard was live on Jules Holland ...Later , last year. In my view, It was a perfect and relaxed all time best interpretation. does anyone have a link to it

  • I happen to think Elvis Costello had the best version of this song musically, but Sam & Dave had the best vocals. Now if we could some how mix the two together that would be absolute perfection.

  • just heard this guy on allmemphismusic, singing I cant stand the rain. Anyone got that here?

  • It's up with Wynona. Search for it. It's GREAT.

  • Elvis Costello song, from "Get Happy," which has other convertible-to-soul pieces.

  • Sam and Dave song COVERED by Elvis Costello on "Get Happy."

  • Thanks for posting this, a tremendous boost on a wet Friday night

  • soo cool!!!!!!!!!

  • TREMENDOUS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

AIN'T NOBODY OUT THERE CAN DO THIS LIKE SAM MOORE!

Thanks and pardon the double negatives (smile)

    T.

  • That's Booker T. & The MGs (sans the late, great Al Jackson) as the rhythm section. Great playing, great singing. Listen to Cropper's Tele - what a "sweet soul music" tone! He plays a Peavey nowadays, but I miss that Fender sound. I would guess this clip is from early to mid Eighties. Sam is one of the all time great soul singers, no doubt about it. Thanks for posting this great clip!

  • So insanely good !

  • One word: RAW

  • All apreciated these Bob- motown20 lovely live voice here

  • The Power of the deepest Southern Soul. Sam Moore is in his own class. Like Otis, he delivers every phrase and does not just sell the song, but delivers it. Mercy...

  • I seen him on a conway video and just wanted to see what he was about sings good

  • It's funny how some people never lose that special thing they have...

  • Así se canta!!!!

  • WHERE CAN I GET THIS SONG?

  • You can get this song from I-Tunes under Sam And Dave.

It's on their greatest hits cd.

  • Thank you very much.

  • Such a great song.
