@seaseri3 well maybe the person who wrote that just isnt a native english speaker. Because obviously it isnt nessesary. Its just nice to have because it improves how you look and boosts confidence sometimes too. :) Im just guessing because i honestly dont think i would say that. haha. But it also depends on the view of people in the society. Maybe thats just how it is in japan.
what the hell are all of you whining about? this is a AGEJO MAKE UP tutorial, And since when is agejo style about looking natural...!? never has been and never will be. I wear make up too and not for society or guys they can all kiss me touges,I do it it cause I want to be beautiful by my beauty standards which is agejo/gyaru-ish :) Love the make up :D
Makeup is 'necessary' for women (as stated in the video description line, below the video itself)?! How sad, women who think it's NECESSARY. Nio wonder with brainwashing like that, some foolish women are willing to spend one hour of precious time applying spackle to their faces, heat rollers to their lashes, spending hundreds per month on hair straightening, false lashes, manicures, etc all to be 'acceptable looking' to society.
I have dark eyebrows but I don't want to bleach them, what product can I use to make them appear lighter, like the model's eyebrows? Any suggestions would be most appreciated. Thank you.
@laCathiee I've done that, it makes my eyebrows too harsh. I just ordered some canmake brow gel/pencil so I hope it works. I don't want them TOO light, just a little lighter than they are now. Thank you though :)
@nixie1986 once I tried using a little bit of liquid coverup under some lighter brown shadows. it worked pretty well. the coverup lightened my brow and helped the shadow stick.
@nixie1986 Many asian women shave their brows off and draw them back on in blonde. But you can buy something that's called "facial hair bleach" or something like that at many stores where they sell bodycare and cosmetics
@MrPainappuru how foolish is that...shave them off and then draw them back in? While they're at it, why not pluck out all their eyelashes too, since they only apply false ones anyway? Many Puerto Rican/Dominican women do the same thing with their eyebrows, and when they draw them back in it's way too dark and severe looking...makes them look very harsh. Women can be so silly
@yippee2000 Well, if they like the look it gives, I don't see why not?
And Asian women have very short, straight and hard to curl lashes, so they use false lashes. Once again, I don't see the problem. For many asian women, having big eyes is very important also so they use eyelid glue, lashes, +++ to achieve that look.
And I don't think it's silly at all to want to look good, in fact, I think that's very admirable.
@MrPainappuru Sure...it's 'admirable' to want to look good. I guess then plastic surgery is also 'admirable' because after all, the people just want to look 'good'...whatever that means. For most such women, it has nothing to do with looking 'good' but is more about conforming to society, and not being happy with their own natural looks. Many of these women look 'good' without all that goop on their faces, and in many instances they look better without makeup.
@yippee1999 Now, I'm talking about MY personal opinion, and I find it far more admirable to do what you can to look and feel good about yourself than to just sit at home eating junk food, not doing a single fuck to take care of oneself and to just rot away. I'd rather be full of makeup and silicone if that would be MY ultimate comfort and preference.
So yeah, I think it's admirable. And TBH, I think you'd be surprised to find out how selfish most women actually are.
@MrPainappuru U imply there are only 2 methods to personal appearance: either complete artifice, or being a total slovenly slob. What about women who DO care about their appearance, but refuse to spend all that time/money completely obliterating their natural beautiful selves? Most of the women in these makeup videos look like completely different people. Women don't need makeup to look good. Exercise/sunscreen/sleep/water/a smile. What does your last comment have to do with anything??
@yippee1999 I use extreme examples to make my point clear. Of course I know there's something inbetween.
And even if they look like different people before/after makeup, if they like it that way they are very welcome to do their makeup that way.
And YES, some women DO need makeup to look good. Not everyone is blessed with natural good looks, some women smashes their mirrors because of how they look without makeup, did you know?
What I meant was that I believe most women do it for themselves.
@nixie1986 my friend uses a blonde colored eyebrow mascara... she has black eyebrows and the mascara seems to tone down the dark color to around brown/blonde color...
@nixie1986 There's a product from the Japanese brand Kate. It works like a mascara, only that you brush it over your eyebrows and it'll make your brows change color. To make it look natural, you just need to sweep some brow powder over it. It comes in three shades I think. Dark Brown, Light brown and blonde. Not sure whether you have that product in your country
@nixie1986 there are some colored eyebrow gels that you can apply to your eyebrows and you can manipulate the colour. however, there is only a limited shade that you can get with super dark brows when using eyebrow gels. hope this helps =)
@nixie1986 you could apple either concealer or foundation (full coverage/med) to camouflage them then start doing your browns with your desired eyebrow colour however i think you should only go 1-3 shades lighter(or darker) since it may turn out toooooo fake and not nice <3 hope this helps <3
@nixie1986 DON'T trim them short. At all. Then they'll never grow when you'll need them back and you'll look just too ridiculous. User Andreaschoice made a nice DIY hair lightner using natural ingredients (honey, olive oil, half a banana lol). I used it on my eyebrows since their natural color was much darker than my hair's NATURAL color (funky I know lol) and it's wonky. GIve it a try for like, three weeks, and you'll see a difference!
anybody sampled MAC's new range of products?? their great i continuously purchase more and more :) did u know u can get complimentary samples of makeup through 'Gratis Makeup Samples'. i received my samples on 03/12/2010.

It'd be better if the model was facing us, and it would be up close. I can barely tell what this person is doing.
