Just so you know, Jesus is almost an exact rip-off of the Egyptian god Horus from 4000 B.C.E. (which is 2000 years before Jesus, for those of you who aren't good at math). @GodPrefersAnAtheist If you read verse 8 you would see that there is more to that Psalm than just a single verse. Taking one single verse out of context is confusing and yes, can make God sound evil in that sense. Verses 8-9 in 137 is Israel crying out to God prophetically saying how wonderful it will be when judgement comes full circle against the children of Babylon. Revelation Chapter 18 describes the judgment and destruction of Babylon.

But wait, maybe you're just taking it out of context and it's really an evil passage. The words in the Bible were chosen by "God", and shouldn't need context. You can't just pick and choose what you like because one makes God sound nice and the other makes him look like an asshole.

I grew up with these people... It is insanity..Im 22, from childhood till about 18 I was drowned in this nonsense...I was told the bible was flawless ect. Ive heard every argument they can make. All it takes is an open and rational mind combined with educations and you can counter their myths. These people believe they are being logical. They rationalize it through emotion. They get a feeling when they worship, all religions can allow man to release these feel good chemicals in the brain.

I appreciate all who love the gospel enough to share it. Way to go! I did it for 18 months in England as a mormon missionary. It is hard work, but the joy of helping others is so worth it, I still testify of Christ every chance i get. I love the 10 commandments. I love keeping the sabbath Day Holy. I wont spend money on that day, or seek recreation, because when I spend that day reverently... it helps me get stregnth for the coming week. I love to be honest, i love to be of service I love all.
