How to get Finale NotePad for Free

So if you are going into the program, right click the shortcut and go down the list until you find run as administrator. Click it. It will come up with a message saying are you sure you want to run this program or something like that, click yes. the program will come up and will have no trouble with blue triangles. :)

To get rid of the triangles go into properties and run it in compatibility mode to Windows 95/98.

@MelancholyWhisper Hmm, well, I believe the pointer tool is just a mouse, or the mouse arrow if you know what I'm saying. I honestly don't know. The downside to life right now is, my computer that I'm stuck with can't record anything, it's too low tech, and can't handle it. So basically, I won't be able to put a YouTube video on for a little while. :( At least not about this. My Xbox on the other hand..... Yes.

But for the triangles, I can't find a pointer tool to rid of the blue, or an option menu to change the resolution. Also, do the triangles show up when you print sheet music out? Or is it only within the program itself?

@shredmeister25 I believe it's only on the program itself. I personally haven't printed anything off with it, I just write songs on there, or I write songs of games like Legend of Zelda, and keep it on there for future reference. I'm sorry about the triangles, apparently it's been a problem with the program since it was released.

@usamaki10 @usamaki10 Of course it's an exe file. Don't worry though, upload it to virus total. You could also use Comodo firewall, it'll tell you any processes that randomly open up, or any files that a program tries to download. You'll see that it wont give you a virus, I'm promise you that.

@K00rihi You just need a more recent version of the software. You can get Finale Reader for free on makemusic's website, or you can shell out ten bucks for the most recent Finale Notepad.

@K00rihi In response to this, for the .mus files, like tsswann said, you can open them with Finale Reader. If you want a newer version of Finale NotePad, you could do what he said and pay 10 dollars, but this video was a tutorial on a free version. :)

1. Select the "pointer tool"

2. Select the blue triangle

3. Hit 'delete' NOT backspace, and the blue should go away.

@sparks754 Haven't installed yet, but the very file alone comes up clean on Spyware doctor and FireFox runs a scan on the file before finishing up the download (came up clean too). Might as well test it out and get back to you.

@kcalarion Hey, yeah, I had this problem too and one way I got around it was by separating the two instruments. Like, put another instrument between these two. This will make the bracket around the two instruments go away, and thusly, make the triangles go away. I feel smart because I used the word thusly.

I am removing your comment simply because the website is safe, I have no viruses on my computer, I've scanned it for hours and hours with 4 different antiviruses. Avast! AVG pro, Norton Antivirus, and MalwareBytes. None of them show up with any viruses, it's a safe website. Plus, Finale Notepad is a trusted website.
