It's so hard to describe the memories this conjures up...Traveling around kanto, leveling up charmander to level 16, having a good gym battle with misty, all while trying to find an angle of light on my couch. It's amazing how a small device with a screen and buttons as well as a game cartridge can fill a person with the happiest feeling a kid could feel. My childhood was one that I will always look back on with satisfaction, and I have this amazing franchise to thank. Pokémon forever!!

I vividly remember running straight up to my room after opening the box, excitement and anticipation streaming through me. I turned on the game, and rushed through the title sequence and Professor Oak's intro. But, the instant Pallet Town's theme faded in, even at six, I could tell that this moment, and this song, would define my childhood, and its innocence, forever :')
