I am hoping to start a hive next Spring and I am trying to visualise things I've been reading about. i worry about winter and how I will protect my bees and you've helped me understand better how I can do this. bad way to check bees in the winter, its bad to disturb them, get a small plastic tube and stick it in the intrance
and listen.
