WOW, not to be rude, as a fellow computer nerd I am wondering why you bought an iMAC, because the minimac has the same specks at a WAY lower price. I have two macminis, one in my car and one in my bedroom for my t.v.
But I also understand there are a lot of mac fans out there. I personally like PC's because everything works with windows.

whatever you do with the intro, make it about 10 seconds long, 15 at the most. 30 seconds is the length of a tv ad, and that's what everyone has to sit through every time they watch your videos (not that I don't like it, I'm sure it's great, but I image after watching it ~20 times it gets a bit old, much like a commercial)
I like the paypal idea then you could do several interesting things. If anyone is good with flash it would be really cute to see a cartoon you at the beginning of the show doing geeky type stuff that went along with the lyrics of the show. I have ideas, yet no skill! Well good luck!
Have you tried to download the old version from Apple's website. Because you should be able to have both. I've got both running on a MacBook Pro and Mac Mini. But I do agree iMovie is not as good as the previous version.
I'd been using the old version up until now, but it is now longer publishing properly. And since it's the 'old' version, Apple won't come out with a fix. I think i have to find another solution.
Hi Eve, great episode. I got a tech woe for you (probably should have emailed it to you). I won this Pen Mic off of Ebay. Supposedly, it acts as an mp3 player, and you can record voice on the pen. They advertise that the mic records in stereo sound. Alas, instead of a sample rate of 44100 Hz, or even 22050 Hz Stereo, I got 8000 Hz Mono (second lowest recording quality). That's my Technology Woe. Costs me $31, Eve. :(
