I don't think that Alex want to slam their fans with any word which he ever wrote. I know that several people think that he act to little with the crowd on concerts and so he likes the fans not really..... but for example look at the records of their first gig in london at the astoria.... Alex loves his fans.... and I were recently on the gig in austria and in germany and it was adorable.... That's my opinion....

yeah in the beginning he was never comfortable with interviews but he's much better in them now. i saw em in 2007 and he was awesome with the crowd-he even pointed out these girls he remembered from a gig from 2006! i agree with you-alex loves his fans and is just shy. he's not trying to be rude at all.

i think that the majority of the time alex leaves his lyrics open to different perceptions, and i think thats the best part, this way more people can relate to them. i dont think theres just one meaning for each song. im sure its not that simple...

well, im unsure about the verses, but the chorus is about playing shows

all the pretty visitors (crowds) came and waved there hands(like you do at shows, put your hands up etc) and cast the shadow of a snake pit on the wall(lots of hands put up together shadowed onto a wall will look like a snake pit)
