I driven several 911, an epic car that is like no other. The air-cooled ones never overheat and I mean NEVER. No stupid water pump like most cars of that era, just an essential oil cooler to be fitted and spark plugs/leads, that all needs doing to most of them.

@coltsuperocean10 Of course I have. Air cooled Porsche's are amongst the best cars I ever driven. Oil cooling is important on them and I fitted several uprated coolers on my brothers old 911's. The reason for what I said is because alot of people are unaware of the benefits of air cooled technology, which may return one day, hopefully and better have.

I'm not quite sure how the gaps in the Targa roof "add to the experience of the car" but you've got to give the owner points for trying!

Also, Mike says California is a "dry state" but that's not true. If it's LA or San Diego, yes. but California is huge and, in the North of the state, it's wet!

This show is entertaining but I would not want to buy a car from this guy - he seems to make the car cosmetically nice and the heck with the mechanical part - I know when he bought the AW-11 MR2 there was a lot of stuff about the engine and cooling system that he seemed to ignore - but it looked nice at the end...

Not much skill I see. Some spray paint & buffing. Real skill is buying your own synchro's and a seal kit and rebuild that 915 yourself. Two people to drop a 2.7...I drop mine on my own many times. Also, the biggest problem with 911's isn't whether they've been wrecked but rust. Nowhere did they check the bad areas like the battery box and suspension supports in the boot. Almost always some degree of rust unless it's been fixed-original design flaw.

CA cars have a lot of rust issues. need proof? come by my house, all the cars im restoring have rust issues, all are CA cars that were stored outside but still driven quite often. only way to avoid it is to never drive it on a rough weather day and leave it in a climate controlled garage

I've never been to Cali, compared to how East coast cars rust, I've heard the West coast is significantly easier on an automobile. I am not going to argue about this, because I have no knowledge on this matter other than what I have been told. Which is, automobiles from California have very little rust issues as compared to East coast cars. I think this addage might be true for southern California, I guess not for the northern part.
