how do you work crankbaits? do u just swim it? or jerk it? or what?

@HATINTHEKAT you swim it and jerk it but its not a hard jerk. and crankbaits are best used around cover like rocks and weeds. but be careful you dont get it snagged. you can also use it in open water

@pinoybro09 you can usually tell. youll feel a change in pressure, a thump, or weight. also whe you set the hook, sweep your rod to the side, dont slam it like a jig fish. youll want a slow reel too, matched up with a Medium Power rod for most cranks or a Mediu heavy for big, deep divers, 16+ ft. but medium will usually work. good luck

Lol idk how the hell these guys fish right in open water and just reel in bass like its nothing .. i ve been fishing all spring every day morning and night and havent caught a single bass ... ive been using my whole lure assortment deep divers spinnerbaits worms rattle traps everything and am having no luck at all

@iTzMeThoDz Thats because all the bass are on the edges right now looking for beds or spawning or guarding their nest. deep divers will do you no good this time of year wait til a really hot day or in the summer when the water temp is hotter. stop fishing so fast and get your self some Senko's.

@silentdreemz85 Uhhh its late june man its post spawn now bass are just piling food in for winter now .... bass are going to be suspended along the bottom so actually a crankbait is the best thing to fish with ... ive caught some of my biggest bass this whole year on crankbaits ... worms are my next choice .. and wtf is this senko craze ? all everybody talks about is yamamamamaamto senko blah blah

@silentdreemz85 I live in New Hampshire, everytime i go fishing i fish the edges and am still pulling 25-35 bass each time. soon i will be switching to drop shot, and then in late late july early august when the water is about as warm as it gets i will start with deep diving cranks.
