@badball2004 for real? Shame on the former owner then, they could have sold the body panels for more than that... w/e i gues thats why the rear of the car was so folded up at the end of the derby... btw your comment popped up 5 times (??)
68chevelle no one gives a fuck! its a sport! and to who ever was driving! good job saw alot of nice wheel shots and driving! stock kinda sucks! but you build for your budget! hammer!
that car should have been in a open class unlimited weld it just kinda got wasted being stock i would have redone the heads and cammed the motor also (my opinion)
So, 3 of u are saying is that i'm a dumbass too, because I derbied a 1968 Dodge Polara that was so rusty that the left rear leaf spring was clear through the trunk floor. And 2009 will be my 3rd year with the same car!!
not true ive seen 2008 crown vics go after old iron and come out on top and with those 2008 they have aluminum front ends but they are still hard as a rock
@Logansfarm actually its true becasue what most people dont realise is that with alot of the newer model of Vics their frames are doubled up for safety their rear end humps are doubled inside, and if you have the know how you pull down the front frame so that it is straight and she is hard as a rock
@mustang633NY their front frame rails are aluminum a lot of people were cutting them off and welding the older frame rails back on plus a bolt in front cross member
what people should do is; stop killing these classics and put modern cars in a derby. new cars are ugly and cheap built quality. classic is the best way to roll´. so stop killing them!
if you want classic cars go out and find them they are not hard to find and there is plenty off them its not like we are going to run out any time soon
@Toxmonster where the heck do you live?!?! I live in the north east and I have been looking for a cheap old car for road trips since about 2004.on and off i have been in the market for a car that i could buy for like 2-3k and all i can find is CRAP so i settled on a 1985 Oldsmobile Delta 88 as a summer car.. cost me a grand and ive spent a few bucks fixing it up, for another grand or so i could have it in like new shape... But id rather have something like this galaxy or a 60s Olds or 64 impala
@mustang633NY you jut have to know where to look a lot of farms have an old car sitting in the barn, junk collectors will have some, specialty junkyards back road towns and villages will have them doesn't matter where you are you can always find old cars
@Toxmonster trouble is around here we have been using road salt for many years and most cars that are sitting around were rusty when they were parked.... next time im for real in the market ill just have to take a long weekend and go car hunting, i was kind of in a crappy mood already when i saw this galaxy getting smashed and i was thinking "are you kidding me?!?"
you must have paid alot for that car! you mind me asking what you paid for that old Ford?... It must have been over 2 thousand bucks
