Not looking down on the SU31, probably one of the finest aerobatic planes in the World (in the video undeniably very responsive on the rudders), but I think she ought to try fly more extreme planes e.g. the Extra 300 (or the 330) if she didn't felt she had to fly patrioticly.

... and someone should have added English speech to this video

@hrc1966 but you have to understand the russian mentality, they have no problem limiting themselves to certain methods or technologies if only to show the west that they have what it takes to be as extreme as anyone else

@smsandel Oh I know they are, in life, in choice of government, in flying. The clip is rather glorifying but it's clear she's very good (looking) pilot. The SU-31 is too very capable. I just have something against radial-engines. Imagine a Spitfire or Mustang rigged with a radial; wouldn't work!

@hrc1966 I love radial engines. The F4U corsair was the first fighter plane to exceed 400MPH in level flight in WWII and it had a radial!

Excellent pilot and flying! Freestyle stuff is relativly easy. Aresti and formation flying is dead difficult. Svetlana's smooth flying is an inspiration!

Svetlana's all business when she closes that canopy. A wonderful video of a talented pilot, not afraid to let it all hang out. She
