@americannable I wouldn't say Dubstep came from Dub and Techno (although there are artists where there are elements of that, check a guy called "F").Evolved out of 2step, Garage and Grime, and was quite different to this (I wouldn't classify this as dubstep at all). What is known as "Dubstep" today is a lot different to the deep early sounds of Kode 9 and Digital Mystikz. There's no point in even trying to put things in genres these days because there is so much variety. Good music is all it is.

@americannable Although Dub was a huge unfluence on the genre (didn't make that clear in my last comment). Rustie though is from a completely different ilk. Numbers and LuckyMe are both Glaswegian labels and their sound is hard to pin down because of the huge array of influences you can hear in the music. However I wouldn't say they produce dubstep. Dubstep as a genre just sparked something in the UK electronic music scene, a lot of creativity if you will. Hope this serves to clear things up :)

Which is why I was trying to say that this really is the future of Dubstep, rather than that shitty 'who can make the loudest, stupidest noise?' bullshit.

This is similar to Post-Dubstep in that respect I guess... In that it sounds ahead of it's time.
