Launch pad isn't organized because it's called dragging the apps around an using folders( also renaming the folders) buy lion my friend has it and I have a pc and wish I could.

My God this guy is a complete moron. He doesn't like Launchpad because it is apps in a random order and you cannot order your applications and it's just a mish-mash. It organises your apps in the order in which they were installed, the whole point of it is you can re-order your apps into any order you wish and put applications into folders to group them so you don't have page after page of random applications. Launchpad is fantastically easy to use if you have half a brain.
I like OSX very much but I can handle desktop things better in Windows. I don't need 3 desktops on a laptop to manage windows, come on man ... this is ridiculous. And I like the way windows get maximized ... since Windows 95 to be precise. On the other hand I can't stand its security flaws and heavily bloated design nor license costs so I preffer OSX for not having such issues.

i LOVE lion, there's only one complain, witch is: it doesn't support rosetta PPC apps, some of my FAV apps are now unusable! developers will update to non PPC versions on new, relevant apps, but things like duke nukem 3D (piratebay) and simcity 4 (same site), probably won't. same goes for GtkRADIANT, its a free app and the rarely receives updates!

This guy is an idiot. You can easily assign apps to desktops by right clicking on it's icon in the dock. You can organise desktops as long as you have deselected "Automatically rearrange spaces based on most recent use". You can organise launchpad easily. I cleared everything on launchpad using terminal and dragged only the apps I wanted in. Now I use launchpad all the time.

I loved SL. It was the best OS X yet. OS X Lion feels like Apple's Vista. I am trying very hard not to find reasons to step back into SL. The biggest issue I have is that Lion is significantly slower than SL. I just cannot believe this is an Apple product.

This video is old. Pretty much every app has been updated for Lion now and I think its the developers fault for not updating their apps because Lion betas had been out since June or July and their hadn't updated their apps at all. I guess they just didn't give a fuck about Lion because even iOS 5 had plenty of apps already updated weeks before release. I blame the developers. But everything seems back to normal now and Lion is fucking awesome. Id say if your still on SL you're missing out.
Stick with SL for a while if you can. People may have laughed at Vista but that's what is happening to Lion now. Personally, I hope they'll come out with 10.8 soon (or at least come with a major update)
I never use apple, I don't even bother buying their products at all. Sure steve jobs gave us the revolutionary i-series, and etc. but would you really buy overpriced stuff just for its brand and not for what the product offers you? @johnw111468 I use my computer for pro audio applications and video editing. Every command line program i used in linux for audio and video conversion runs perfectly in mac os x.
All my midi and audio drivers work better on lion then they did on linux or windows, and jack/asio can't match core audio for low latency sound.
I miss how much you can customize the ui in linux, and i think windows 7 is probably the best choice for most users but Lion to me, is very impressive and fun to use.
Launch Pad is genius! How could this guy not like it? I've stopped using my dock after many many years of the dock. I've organized my pro apps in one screen, my most common in another, and stuff I don't use often inside folders. I think this guy just needed something shitty to say so he didn't come across as a fan boy. Everything works for me at home and work and I don't use a laptop at all. Just because they are on a show doesn't mean they know what they are saying.
What are you talking about? You can easily organize your crap on launchpad just click and hold until the apps jiggle, then you can move them around or put them in folders etc. Not hard... Also copy paste problems? Well I haven't had them so I suppose they fixed that.
chrome does support now and i updated 2 days after its release and till now didnt face any problems other than one single thing that i faced really lately which is the wifi problem but now i got it fixed just by creating a new location

@dxproductions100 You just said it all. PCs crash all the time and Macs don't crash as much. And there isn't anything wrong with PCs not being capable of running Mac OS. The thing that is wrong is that Windows and specially Linux are not what a normal (not gamer) person would choice. I own a Macbook Air and, when I go there I just got a much better experience than on this computer that I'm typing on.... It isn't what it does and what it has that matters, it's how well and magical it does it.

Here is the problem with this video. WHAT VERSION OS LION ARE YOU TALKING ABOUT!!!! I just built a hackintosh, and I never used Snow Leopard for more than an hour. I am experiencing none of the issues mentioned except that the 4-finger gestures took me a few minutes to master. They are easy if you use all fingers except your pinky.. pinky length makes 4 finger up swipe a PITA. I am on 10.7.2.. is that why I don't have your issues with Chrome et al?
@stankmaw did you? I bought a computer with lion preinstalled and i really like it, but sometimes if you have had a computer for a while upgrading the operating system can cause problems. It might be best to do a fresh install of snow leopard first, or if snow leopard is working for you, maybe just keep it for while... if it aint broke....yknow.

@johnw111468 I use my computer for pro audio applications and video editing. Every command line program i used in linux for audio and video conversion runs perfectly in mac os x.
All my midi and audio drivers work better on lion then they did on linux or windows, and jack/asio can't match core audio for low latency sound.
I miss how much you can customize the ui in linux, and i think windows 7 is probably the best choice for most users but Lion to me, is very impressive and fun to use.

Launch Pad is genius! How could this guy not like it? I've stopped using my dock after many many years of the dock. I've organized my pro apps in one screen, my most common in another, and stuff I don't use often inside folders. I think this guy just needed something shitty to say so he didn't come across as a fan boy. Everything works for me at home and work and I don't use a laptop at all. Just because they are on a show doesn't mean they know what they are saying.

What are you talking about? You can easily organize your crap on launchpad just click and hold until the apps jiggle, then you can move them around or put them in folders etc. Not hard... Also copy paste problems? Well I haven't had them so I suppose they fixed that.

chrome does support now and i updated 2 days after its release and till now didnt face any problems other than one single thing that i faced really lately which is the wifi problem but now i got it fixed just by creating a new location

@dxproductions100 You just said it all. PCs crash all the time and Macs don't crash as much. And there isn't anything wrong with PCs not being capable of running Mac OS. The thing that is wrong is that Windows and specially Linux are not what a normal (not gamer) person would choice. I own a Macbook Air and, when I go there I just got a much better experience than on this computer that I'm typing on.... It isn't what it does and what it has that matters, it's how well and magical it does it.

@supercounterstrike1 yea but most people who build PC's don't know what the Mac Pro is they think of the Macbook Pro, I hate them because they are so biased and make up shit about Macs when I use windows and Mac OS (Windows for games that don't have a Mac version) and they tend to get pissy when my $600 Mac Mini out performs their rigs

2nd - It your choice, On a iMac I can have Windows, Mac OS, Linux, Solaris. It doesn't matter

Your launchpad look messy because u are, maybe, using pirate software. if you purchase it from the store, it will look nicer. anyway, my launchpad look nice and clean since i learn how to organize my work space and HDD. Peace Mr Know-little-about-Mac.
btw, U can't rename the desktop because you don't need to. U can see what's there.

Here is the problem with this video. WHAT VERSION OS LION ARE YOU TALKING ABOUT!!!! I just built a hackintosh, and I never used Snow Leopard for more than an hour. I am experiencing none of the issues mentioned except that the 4-finger gestures took me a few minutes to master. They are easy if you use all fingers except your pinky.. pinky length makes 4 finger up swipe a PITA. I am on 10.7.2.. is that why I don't have your issues with Chrome et al?

@stankmaw did you? I bought a computer with lion preinstalled and i really like it, but sometimes if you have had a computer for a while upgrading the operating system can cause problems. It might be best to do a fresh install of snow leopard first, or if snow leopard is working for you, maybe just keep it for while... if it aint broke....yknow.

gets crash and broken graphics.. when i start using ati 3d graphic card in windows it happens automatically .. sometimes it happens because you use 3d graphics and sometimes automatically.. i can't really understand why and how to fix it..
