@HSN HA MADE A BIG MISTAKE IN DESCRIBING THE CONTRAST ON THIS TV. THIS MODEL DOES NOT HAVE LOCAL DIMMING WITCH IS WHEN THE TV CAN TURN LED'S ON AND OFF. SO I GUESS YOU WOULD CALL THIS FALSE ADVERTISEMENT.

It is NOT, I repeat, NOT an true LED television. True LED television of this size is still years away. The largest OLED (notice the difference) is only 15 inches.

@ConceptVBS True but most standard lcds are sixty thousand to one contrast and this i 2 million to one so still makes big improvement

Those are manufacturer calibrated dynamic contrast ratios numbers.

True contrast ratios are much much smaller using standard scientific laboratory measuring devices.

This is an LCD television with LED backlight instead of a cathode fluorescent tube.
