EVERYGOOD GROUP should FUCK UP at least once IN A show, TO PROVE THEY 'S JUST LIKE EVERYBODYELSE, AND make the AUDIENCE FEEL BEETER! As long as they recover in the next song..........
It was on purpose, my guess is because it puts a little comedy into a normally sad/serious song. Love the Shins, all that matters is that they made the great song, they can perform it however they want.
yeah this was supposed to happen. haha. my friend went to see them and they did the same exact thing. haha. its funny because with this song its so perfect...the song is really serious and then out of nowhere its just like...."aw shit!" haa. priceless.
This is funny. Good to see a band that can have a good attitude about these kinds of things as well as a sense of humor. Even better, the audience was good about it too!
Oh, come on, he forgot the lyrics to the CHORUS? He was obviously either drugged up or drunk because there's no way he could mess that up, it's the same every time.
when you're playing guitar, preparing to switch to head register, and surrounded by a bunch of people who aren't necessarily keeping time right, it's easy to mess up. :)
yea it was definitely part of the show. clever though and it was cool hearing it played on an electric guitar. i loved that show, the weather was perfect.

hehe, i wouldve been upset that they couldnt play it, but it wouldve been cool because they wouldve always remembered that, and it wouldve been unique and such. haha i love them
hahahahahaha

and a sense of humor when they mess up

James Is a songwriting god. His attitude just makes the experience even better even though they messed up.

even if they mess up they are indie so it dont matter!
skaterstan457 1 year ago
@skaterstan457 What the heck does that mean "because they are indie"?

he's just doing it wrong, don't bother.
turkledog 1 year ago
@turkledog yeah I won't. People just get this image of "indie" being some sort of style now. ugh.
CrayonHD 1 year ago
@CrayonHD
tell me about it. all the ex-scenesters are turning into what they believe is "indie" now. sheesh.
turkledog 1 year ago
i think that was intentional. you would have to try to mess up something that simple.
StaulkHolm 1 year ago
this song is so hard to play, i cant seem to get the strumming right
iobserveutube 1 year ago
@iobserveutube Really? I've been playing for a few years and I find this song really easy. Remembering the words is the hardest part.

its not that the chords are difficult its the words lol.
gaymeledeush 2 years ago
they're still amazing.
fiddler0526 2 years ago
this song is actually pretty hard to play, the chord structure is hard to follow. thats part of the reason why new slang doesn't have a drum part.
ajkpchee1 2 years ago
it has a drum part. Its pretty much hi-hat and snare then bass 2 times the whole song.
sorakey899 2 years ago
yeah, its a very basic drum part that could fit into any time signature
ajkpchee1 2 years ago
Yeah, that's true.

Definately intentional! These guys are professional. They wouldnt screw up their own song that badly, but it is still pretty damn funny.

haha yeah I know! I only think that it's intentional because they do it ALOT lol. Great song tho...
